F1 » Massa: Verstappen amazing but too early for F1

I don't understand the disapproval for Verstappen, he's quick, he's tested the car in official test sessions and on grand prix weekends, he has more experience than Raikkonen had when he joined F1. He's near as damn makes no difference a full second faster than his team mate, so is Sainz Jnr not ready for F1? Verstappen is also only 0.057 slower than Massa after the Catalunya test, I think he's more than capable and everything he's done to date shows that.

RR » Martin: BMW can make the difference at TT

Liam94:
grantrd: Not with M Dunlop on the new R1.......
There is no guarantee the new R1 will be a winner straight away, the standard bike is great but nobody knows how good the race version will be. The BMW on the other hand is the proven bike to beat.
It's only because M. Dunlop rode it in 2014. After 2013 the bike to have was the Honda because it dominated the TT and who was riding it...M.Dunlop lol.

RafaelCE: I have read somewhere that such is the case of children in tne military, they are way more fearless than adults about death or risk, but that is not the point. The issue is that these new tech cars that are more like xboxes or playstatoons, so kids brains are more exerienced in multitask thinking through buttons and selecting stuff in a screen within fractions of a second than most adults in the grid. Its a new era, just live with that I am no particular fanboy I just love the sport. The kid is there for a reason. If the car works fine, we will learn what he can do in a few races.
I agree, I'm all for Verstappen being in F1. I was simply replying to yet another comment trying to belittle the Dutchman due to his age.

WSBK » Sykes critical of van der Mark pass in race one

cfsteezy: put yourself in sykes seat, what would you say if you were asked that question after a pass like that on you? Legal or not, what would you say? Im sure it would be alot worse than what sykes said.
Last year at Brands Hatch someone almost put me head on into the end of pitwall at pit entry at about 90-100mph, nothing had to be said because the guy knew he was in the wrong. You just move on to the next race.

rjbbob: maybe if he had won the title in the formula 3 series it would have made a little more sense, but 3rd place overall. i understand it was his 1st season but if you argue he is amazing then he should have won the championship that season.
Maybe if you knew the circumstances that lead to him finishing 3rd you'd know that was a false reading of the talent of Verstappen. Even more so if you'd seen even 1 race with Verstappen in you'd understand why he's been rewarded with a Formula 1 seat.

F1 » Massa: Verstappen amazing but too early for F1

richard: massa is right to voice his concerns. is verstappen even old enough to have a driving licence for the road?
That's a ridiculous statement, surely you don't agree with 10 year old kids racing karts then, because they're not old enough to drive on the road either. If the FIA think he's not prepared for F1 they wouldn't allow him to drive the car let alone race.

In the top series of motorcycling there's a 15 year old rider called Fabio Quartararo, he's below the minimum age limit to race in the Moto3 category, but such is his talent the governing body have allowed him to enter. Quartararo is starting his rookie year at a world championship level this season and so far in testing he's blown the opposition out of the water as well as the track records where he's tested. Not once have I seen or heard a comment saying "I hope he isn't wreckless" or "He's going to get himself killed" like I have regarding Verstappen. Just because he's young a lot of you assume he's an idiot and a danger.
