RR » Financial woe sees axe fall on Bush road races

No loss - give us your opinion please, I'd love to hear it but it can't be up to much considering what you've already written. Roadracing fans some of you are missing another major problem with our National roadraces. For as long as I can remember at our Nationals there are some very selfish so called fans who refuse to pay their way and year after year expect a free day out. This is now beeginning to tell a sorry tale.

BSB » Shane Byrne wraps up 2012 BSB title

Congratulations to Shakey, well deserved, and the same goes for all the other championship winners in each class. I too want to see and end to this 'shoot out' set up. It should be the rider with the most points over the 24 races who takes the title, simple as that. On a far more serious note, I saw on facebook today a serious incident at the podium celebrations after the last superbike race. When Shakey threw his boots into the crowds, one young boy who caught Shakey's boot got PUNCHED by an another much older man standing nearby. This cretin proceeded to take the boot off the young lad and walk away with it. Photos from this incident are on Shakey's own facebook page. Surely someone who was there saw this and will give him up to the police.

RR » Ulster GP chief fears for road racing's future

Free races? never been to one in over 30 years following road racing but then again I have always paid my way and given the promoting clubs much needed financial help by way of buying a race programme. The days of free road racing will hopefully be coming to an end (about time) as local racing clubs are working with government to introduce legislation covering all races in Northern Ireland so they can charge an admission fee. Long overdue in my opinion.
