The ****ers in the UK wont have too much to Flap their Lips about after this past weekends Domination at Donnington by Ben Spies on the Yamaha...Spies came on Conquered England, onto the next race in Brno.
Kevin Schwantz said it best during a Race in Italy where the commentator stated,is Ben Spies as good as # 34 ? Schwantz reply,"He could be even better".
He is Motivated and his Learning Curve is Amazing.
On a Fitness level,no one is more Fit than Ben, Consistent and Smart.....

Super Spies basks in WSBK title glory
1 agrees.
Spies is in a Class of his own in Superbikes, even with all the bad luck, still SBK Champion and Class guy,No BS Talk, just a straight forward guy with pure Raw Talent and Speed, from the Lone Star State....People who know Ben have seen it,now that he is World Champ, all the Crying about Ben having no personality or that he has not been to a certain track and will not succeed, has all been put down....When you are Good,it does not matter where you are racing. With the title on the line,Ben drops the Hammer down.........and he will carry that through his GP Challenges....

Lorenzo can be ‘biggest rider in the future’
What Lorenzo has done, considering the level of competition, has been brilliant. He is bloody quick, and once he begins to ride in a more calculated manner will undoubtedly lift the title. A very exciting talent. Posted by darren - Unregistered (6 hours ago) Darren, you are spot on with your analogy of Lorenzo, regardless of what the naysayers think..... Yamaha locked up Lorenzo for a good reason, this guy is money and still a youngster, with the experience he is gaining being Rossi Teammate, will make his progress in being a much better rider and Champion in the future,a talent like Jorge does not come around very often and Yamaha along with other teams recognize this.

Rossi wins, Lorenzo falls at Brno.
Klong14,Good Insight about Lorenzo with his style and pushing too hard crashing,Rossi has been doing this for years and very calculated, the Best ever to ride a bike,Lorenzo is only 21 years old and learning each time he goes out to race against Rossi...... Seeing Lorenzo ride, you know he has greatness in store for the future,he has the poise to be very good. Each race is something to build on when he races against Rossi and Lorenzo knows this...The kid is bright, but at times over anxious....To beat Rossi.

Mat Mladin announces retirement.
2 agree.
Mladin will surely be missed in the AMA regardless of what others who have not seen Mat race say....Top lever competitor for more than 10 years. Both He and Spies train like Triathletes who know that ultimate fitness will get them through the rigors of racing when injuries (Crashes) and mechanicals come into play. Being a racer that is out of shape physically wont do. DMG really has lost much of the interest of the fans, myself a fan for years...Would rather watch WSBK and GP now..Only Covering the Laguna Seca round this year. But I think that with such a dramtic change, everyone should give the series a chance to succeed...

Mat Mladin announces retirement.
The point of Racing in AMA is to make the series more competitive and less a Yoshimura Suzuki cup,in which the Suzuki's have dominated over the years and win every race...With that being said, they (Yosh Suzuki) also had two of the Top Superbike racers, and also paid top salaries to them so they would stay as well. DMG wanted a series that is alluring to the fans and not dominated by one team,so that fans could see exciting racing..Changing the series dramatically this year. I know the fans dont want change, they want the excitement of Fast racers. But the teams that raced against Yosh, are all for having a chance to win the series.

EL BIGONIO,excellent point ! Some of the racers here, have roots from the UK !!! Reg Pridmore was the First AMA Superbike Champion (3 TIMES),who came from England ! Winning in 1977 on a BMW and also in 78 and 79 winning also with Kawasaki.... His son Jason carries on the racing heritage winning a couple AMA titles and a World Endurance title ! Great people and happy to have them as friends.... no better ambassador to the sport, over the years in AMA, Jason has has been teammate to Nicky Hayden Mat Mladin and also Ben Spies, maybe there is something to having British Heritage as a Teammate ? Also announces for Speedvision US TV...

Lord Flasheart,Pam and Rawdawg,I have posted my images covering Motorcycle Racing on my Facebook page, and have done a recent Mladin pictorial if you are on facebook send me a friend request to see the images and the other images i have listed, send me a e-mail at natefour@aol.com Mladin would play head games with Spies in 05 his first Superbike season, which made Spies tougher mentally, which in turn contribute to his special talent, people who have not seen him dont understand the make up of Spies and say "Why dont you smile more" Or "He has no personality" When you race you have to be on a razors edge Its all his mental focus when he is racing and the edge it gives him to be Strong.

Nate you seem to be a very down to earth type of guy Posted by Lord Flasheart Lord Flashheart, great to read your posts too ! I really have a laugh with many of the posts all because of Pride, whether US or UK,but in Reality, you can only judge something that you have seen in person, both UK and US racers are talented,I have friends from the UK,Australia and around the world that follow racing, when you see a great Racer,he is great no matter what track he rides on,it does not matter.Spies has shown this. I cover racing in Photography for 20 years on the track close and in the pits,I see it all, from GP WSBK and AMA.Never seen a talent like Spies.

RawDawg,if Speed shows that race again, the Daytona Superbike (Sunday),watch the whole race, its the best fight in the AMA now,Eslick and Cardenas are on it....The Buell has the Top end with displacement, but no one eles riding a Buell and sliding that bike around like Eslick, like his style, much like the old dirt trackers, which he is....Great to see him in the series,Cardenas would not except second on Sunday. Great talent Cardenas is...Both guys should be in Superbikes next year.

Johnny B Good,You are very right about Mladin, great Racer and one of the finest in the world (Ask Spies),one of the three Titles Spies won, Mladin had 12 victories to Spies 7...With a few brakes could have been the other way, both Riders are great Champions,as you can see,Mladin made Spies work for the title... very tough every year.
