MotoGP » Valentino Rossi lashes out after Qatar nightmare

@Grendlehop I call bullsh1t. Your buddy who watched AMA with you told you about Rossi in '01 which made you watch it but he didn't tell you about World Champion Kenny Roberts Jr from the AMA who was the son of King Kenny? Or did he tell you and you did not care to watch - it was just because of Rossi? And please explain what "records" Val was breaking in '01 and who was being pissed off??

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi lashes out after Qatar nightmare

lol @ DB4 I love this part of the parody transcript: Those who didn't buy the cover for the Monster's gas tank with #46 will leave. We gave him 15 million. Fifteen million that we could have invested in research and development - instead you told me to invest on the guy with "the half a second in his wrist", "the Mister, I ride around problems", he's bringing Burgess you told me, the best crew chief in the world. We've produced so many types of MotoGPs that we can’t even count them and we can't even make the scale models because there are so many of them.

MotoGP » First CRT MotoGP wild-card entry announced

Ok, Attack is a nice "AMA" outfit and Rapp is a decent enough guy and all. But in saying that.... BOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Seriously, how are we suppose to get excited about this? Of all the young talent in the AMA we get Rapp?! There is awesome Danny Eslick, title contender Blake Young, Jason Herrin, 2 MotoGP Red Bull cup title winners in JD Beach and Jake Gagne, Dane Westby, Tommy Aquino Cameron Beaubier, etc. Jeezus Steve Rapp?? I know sponsors and the like and what bike they ride plays into it but come on. Jason Disalvo and Roger Hayden would have been better choices. Hopefully some of the young guns will get a wildcard in Moto2 at Indy. That will be something for me to look forward to.

"Maybe but then again how many times have either won races on the Ducati let alone got on the podium ? Rossi has changed the bike so far as to allow the other guys to go better on it" @SHEENE7 So what are you saying?? That Val is developing a bike that everyone can ride except him? lololol. Get outta here with that garbage! He is going backwards! A freakin' blind man can see that. Hayden and Barbera shouldn't be beating him. It's all down to him - he isn't trying. Point blank. Maybe he would only be good for 5th or 6th or whatever if given full effort. But he still should be beating those guys. The amount of wage he gets he should be giving 100 percent every time out. I don't believe that he is at this point. And Hayden has been on the podium the same amount times Val has been on the podium in the last year.

MotoGP » Chatter behind Ben Spies Qatar MotoGP misery

They did have a back up bike for Ben this past weekend but like I said it was found to have an issue with the electronics which could have been anything. "Electronics" is the MotoGP equivalent to F1's "hydraulics" which can mean the engine, transmission or anything. But this found out on Friday. I'm assuming it was something that could not be fixed at the track and needs to be fixed at the factory. Since the chatter issue occurred during the warm up, I'm assuming that it wasn't enough time between warm up and the race to strip down the back up bike and use that chassis.

MotoGP » Chatter behind Ben Spies Qatar MotoGP misery

Ben tweeted yesterday "That's what happens when u ride a bike that's been crashed twice....#nobackupchassis" So I'm assuming he believes he picked up the chatter from the 2nd crash of the weekend in QP. I know he went out of the back up bike after his first crash the day before but had to pull in because of electronical problems. So I'm assuming they never got that sorted and had to fix the primary bike after the first and second crash. He was fast all weekend up until warm up so I'm assuming the bike wasn't right after they repaired it the 2nd time.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi lashes out after Qatar nightmare

"if you are comparing a Massa to Rossi, your brain dead" Who mention Massa? If Rossi drove for Ferrari and was the highest paid driver on the F1 grid, the Italian journalist would be calling for his head. Hell, if Enzo was alive he would have fired him today after this outburst. Point being, the Italians love their manufacturers like Ferrari and Ducati and they have little time for this type of high profile failure. Someone will be getting the blame. I've always blamed Ducati. But when Rossi is getting beat by less talented riders than it looks bad on him. It looks like he isn't trying. Not to say that he isn't but perception is powerful.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi lashes out after Qatar nightmare

"If it's easier to set good lap times on your own why do Barbera and half the Moto2 riders cruise around waiting to get tow in Qually?" @Codger We are talking about lap times in a race. If you watch any form of motorsports you know that swapping positions slows you down. In QP they don't battle for position - the hold steady behind the person in front of them.
