MotoGP » Valentino Rossi lashes out after Qatar nightmare

"Either Ducati is incredibly arrogent and stupid for paying a guy a gazillion dollars and not listening to what he says. Or they are losing faith in what he says and are trying to go their own route. Either way, it doesn't look like this is going to have a happy ending. Posted by RawDawg (6 days ago)" Well, it looks like this is even more so now. But I'm starting to lean in the direction of Ducati is losing faith in Rossi. And I asked the other day how this is playing out in Italy. I said if this was F1 and Rossi was driving for Ferrari the Italain journalist would be calling for Rossi to be sacked. The Eurosport boys said there was some raised voices at the QP press conference by the Italian journalist. They are getting feed up with Rossi.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi lashes out after Qatar nightmare

"if Hector had not pushed Rossi off the track Rossi would have been the fastest Ducati...If not convinced check out Rossi's laptimes compared to Nicky's and Hector's" That's not a straight forward comparision. Nicky spent the last half of the race fighting with Hector, Bradl, and Bautista for 6th. After losing time against Hector, Rossi spent most of the race riding on his own. It's much easier to set times by yourself than swapping positions with 3 other riders. So just by looking at lap times you can't say that Rossi would have been fastest Ducati. And if you look at each riders fastest lap, the fastest lap for Nicky, Hector AND Karel all were faster laps Rossi's best. Matter of fact, Rossi has the slowest fastest lap of any non CRT bike. So no, you can't say he would have been fastest Ducati.

MotoGP » Chatter behind Ben Spies Qatar MotoGP misery

I'm MASSIVELY dissappointed in the way Spies weekend ended. Even after crashing in QP he still was starting 4th and had shown the pace all weekend. I have to disagree with Don-R that he would not have been fighting for a podium. Spies has been just as fast as Dani if not faster all weekend and Dani was up there. Not to say Spies would have landed on the podium but I expected no less than a 4th. Jerez is a handling track and should fit the Yamaha like a glove. It's time to put in a good result Benny.

MotoGP » Moto2: Marquez snatches thrilling Qatar win

"Marquez had every right to take the line as he was ahead" @ inconvenience Marc was not FULLY ahead of Luthi. Luthi had every right to hold his line and if he would have held it and not taking action by running off track Marc would have collide with him - that is the problem. It is the responsibility of the overtaking rider/driver in any motorsport to complete the pass successfully if the rider/driver being overtaken holds their line. In F1 last year Vettel did the same thing to his teammate Webber but he turn right into him and hit him becuase Webber was holding his line. Just like Luthi, Webber had ever right to continue on his line.
