MotoGP » 'Huge change' boosts Ben Spies

@DrifterJake You forgot about Danny Eslick. Gagne and Beach both won MotoGP Red Bulls Rookie cup titles and I can see them going back overseas if they come good in AMA. And I think Young has some overseas aspirations in WSBK. Or at least he used to. If he rides like he did at Road Atlanta in the race 1 restart he could make it.

BSB » What's the Story? Time to back the Brits

Cry me a river. It's been like this since the beginning of time. Companies don't sponsor riders through the ranks because they like them and want to support them. They do it because either the guy writing the checks into bike racing and/or it makes good business sense. Bike racing is bigger in Spain and Italy than say England and the US. It's good a good marking opportunity for companies in Spain and Italy to sponsor riders in their championship. Does it make good business sense for a British company to sponsor a kid in Spanish 125cc it they are not in that market selling products? Probably not. So why would they do it? Repsol isn't paying the bill for Marquez just because he is an outstanding talent. He's attracting eye balls on Spanish TV and it's a good return on advertisement dollars invested.
