Let's hope that first Casey gets better and secondly that he will continue to make the title fight interesting. And let's hope the "fans" lay off the "oh he's faking it" BS.

Hayden 'happy' with test performance
12 agree.
5 disagree.
Kenlucky Kid my ol' friend You are correct in the fact that Hayden has been finishing 30 plus seconds back - but so have the majority of the grid. The level of improvement that I notice is between what he has done this year and last year with Melandri. Eveyone knows that Marco is no bum so to see him finish 1 point out of last place in front of West on a Kawaski was an eye opener. Marco never made the level of improvement as Nicky. Hayden has improved throughout the year and even in this last test his times have dropped. He still needs to find time to be with the lead group consistantly but he looks to be steadily geting there.

Aoyama gets to grips with Honda

sliding tire while leaning plus cutting of ignition = high side! To hold a slide the tire has to keep spinning - there should be no debate about that. A couple of decades of 500s and an eternity of dirt track on American bullrings has taught us that. And I have also read that Ducati uses the same system in MotoGP and WSBK. From my understanding their system is the simplest - but that info was from the beginning of the year so they may have moved on with something different.

lol It's funny how people always ignore the big pink elephant in the room when it comes to Rossi. Yeah, him and Uchio are just mates. No, really. Yeah right.............

Neil Hodgson back in British Superbike.

"he was a quality rider in his day but must have an awful agent or something! - forced to stay in america all these years and then returning on a rob mac yamaha?!" News flash - he wasn't forced to do jack sh1t. He wanted to do AMA and didn't want to return to BSB. But since everyone is pulling out of AMA (for good damn reason) he's forced to go back to BSB. And you say he was quality "in his day" - so when was Tommy Hill or Karl Harris or the like EVER quality? Who the hell is left in BSB that's more quality than Neil?

monster From my understanding they use the GPS with TC. The GPS helps with the program of different TC setting for different corners on the track. Is that not correct? Does anyone know for sure? Also, my understanding is the enginement system controls the fuel consumption. Simply put, the riders can either run a full rich setting using full power on full tanks and a leaner settings as fuel is burned. Can anyone clear this up?

Neil Hodgson back in British Superbike.
4 agree.
If the bike is up to it and Neil is healthy than Neil will open some eyes. After finishing 2nd at the first race of the year he was injuried. If James Ellison can come into BSB and be a front runner than so can Neil. Neil has done WAAAY better than Ellison ever did in the AMA. Neil handed Ellison his ass when he wildcarded for James team at Laguna in 2007 - a track that James rode the preious year in MotoGP. James was bascially fired from AMA because of results and wasn't even offered a ride from anyone at the end of the year while Neil was offered a factory ride from riding the same Private Honda. So if he can be a frontrunner in BSB than why can't Neil?

"Neil needs to rebuild the reputation that he had before he left to race in the US." Yeah, he has to rebuild his reputation to the Crash crowd because they haven't seen him race and he has something to prove to them. YEAH RIGHT! If Spies is bascially unbeatable on tracks he's never seen than how hard do you think it is to beat him and Mladin on THEIR tracks? Neil has been a pretty hard charger in the US. He has won fans here riding the Ducati, factory Honda (which was not an HRC bike) and semi-factory Honda (after US Honda pulled out) which where no match for the Yosh Suzuki bikes. He never gave up and never "just rode for the money" as some of you imply. con't

lol@ some of you people. Most of you have never in your life seen a AMA track yet you have such opinions. The only thing you have done is read quotes and the like. And from reading some of your mags like "Performance Bike" and "Two" or Visor down or whatever they are calling it now your circuits don't get rave reviews either. Both series run on NATIONAL LEVEL CIRCUITS! Neither series run at Donnignton or Laguna or Sepang type circiuts on a weekly basis. Only 1 or 2 circuits for each series is fit for MotoGP and/or F1. So why is this even a discussion?

griffon von dangly I think you are correct. I think the statement that was made about Stoner using less traction control is in reference to the other Ducati riders and not the other front runners. With different electronic systems on different bikes with different engine characteristics I would assume it would be difficult to judge the level of TC from each rider without an engineer actually looking at each bike - and surely this hasn't happen.
