MotoGP » Ben Spies apologises after ‘pathetic’ race

@inconvenience You're not stupid so stop acting like it making up a false point. If I said Rossi doesn't belong in GPs you would have a point but that hasn't been my stance so you don't. If I said Rossi wasn't talented you would have a point but you don't. I'm sure you can clearly read were I say if Spies is gonna get himself fired with his current form. Is that not a fair and unbias assessment? If by saying he belongs in GPs is defending him than yeah, I am. But on the other side if you say he doesn't belong in GPs after 2 bad races than you can't be taken seriously.

MotoGP » Ben Spies apologises after ‘pathetic’ race

Oh, I do have 1 more thing to add - Anyone who says Spies doesn't belong in MotoGP is being very disingenuous. He's proven that on a number of occasions. While people are gushing over Cal (rightly so because he has done a great job so far) remember that Spies got a pole and podiums his rookie year in Tech 3 - something Cal hasn't achieved. And Ben already has the same amount of wins as Dovi the other Tech 3 guy. So yeah, Spies is stinking it up now but let's not act like he doesn't belong in MotoGP. 2 bad races and he doesn't have MotoGP talent anymore? That's ridiculous.

I'm going to repost what I said yesterday because I really have nothing more to add at this point: There is a lot of debate about Spies and rightly so - Maybe it's bad luck but I once heard that you make your own luck. If there is a problem on his side of the garage than he needs to sort it and fire someone or get someone fired because guess what? A few more performances like he had the first 2 races and he's the one that is gonna be ass out in the factory Yamaha team and fired. It's time out for the excuses, time out for the mistakes in set up, time out for this or that. This is a performance oriented business and he has to perform - end of. The bottom line is that he has to perform on Sundays. I'm a huge Spies fan but I'm not interested in explanations or reasons or excuses - just results

"Spies appears to be out of his element!" @Emory Whoa, wait a minute. How do you figure Spies is out of his element? He's proven many a times that he belongs now. I know a lot of people are shooting their load and wetting their pants about Cal's 2 4th's. Make no mistake I'm happy for him, Cal's doing well, and I was cheering for him to get a podium today. But he still hasn't matched Spies. Let's not forget Spies got a pole and a couple of podiums his rookie year - I don't have to mention his wins and podiums last year. Ben has shown he is where he belongs in MotoGp now - don't act like he doesn't. But it is up to him to prove he desserves his seat in the Yamaha factory squad for another year - that hasn't been decided. It's only fair that his results speak for him - if he doesn't produce to keep his factory ride than that's up to him. But let's not act like he doesn't belong in MotoGP because he's proved that many a times.
