MotoGP » Valentino Rossi lashes out after Qatar nightmare

"please post the list of things that Rossi sent you informing you of what he had asked for and the list Ducati sent you informing you of how they had complied?" @TedG And were is your list of things from Rossi that Ducati hasn't done that Rossi has asked for? What's that? You get your info from articles that posted just like I do, huh? Was it not reported when Val was slow at the 2010 Valencia test that Ducati went in and produced the soft chassis for him? Was it to report that Rossi like the rear traction on the original GP12 and wanted the 800cc engine stuffed in it? Was it not reported that Ducati made the alloy frame for the Valencia 2011 test from Rossi's request? Did Ducati not make another alloy frame that was said to be "95%" new because Rossi was still slow with the original alloy frame? Can you say you didn't read the same thing? Did I get anything wrong? Don't act like I'm just pulling sh1t out of my ass and it's not the same things that you have read yourself.

@TedG lol Rossi has 1200 post because he's the highest paid rider in the history of MotoGP and is now looking like the worst investment in the history of MotoGP - that isn't anything good to be bragging about. And surely you must be talking about a Honda "satellite" ride. The Repsol team is set. Honda isn't running Stoner out of the door and as along as HRC keeps cashing those Repsol checks, a Spanish rider will be in the other seat. Dani will keep the seat warm in 2013 for Marquez in 2014. And please stop talking about "sales". There is zero evidence that GP racing has a major effect on sales. Yamaha had the biggest percentage sales drop with Rossi, BMW has won f'k all in WSBK and their sales have been strong for the last 2 years, and Suzuki hasn't done jack in a decade and I can't throw a rock without hitting a Gixxer.

If by a miracle from God that Honda and Yamaha allow a satellite team to sign Val adn ride their bike do you guys really believe his situation is gonna change much? He will get a bike about as stock as a Fireblade and R1 and still be fighting for no better than 5th or 6th - depending on how good the Ducati will be. Rossi would be at a satellite team with no input on the direction of the bike and no influence on the development waiting on the factory bits to trickle down like a begger on the street. He will be better off staying at Ducati if he stays in GPs. Unless of couse another factory joins like Aprilia, BMW, or Suzuki.

"if they did they would LISTEN to the guys that ride the bike" @Claes But they DID listen to Rossi. After he was slow as a granny on a Sunday afternoon stroll at the Valencia 2010 test they went right in and design a whole new package FOR HIM - and he never raced it. He pushed it off on Hayden. And after he tested the GP12 1000cc bike he raven how much better it was and didn't have the front end problems and told Ducati to put the 800cc motor in it - and they did so the GP11.1 was born. And he still was slow. They listen to him and went out and got FTR to build them a beam frame - and he still was slow at the Valencia 2011 test. The listen to him and built ANOTHER bike which was "95%" new for this year - and he STILL is slow. So were has listening to Rossi gotten them?? A wasted year, wasted originial GP12/GP11.1 design, less podiums as team, ZERO wins, and much lighter in the pocket. Has anyone thought that maybe Ducati are tired of listening to him or have lost faith in him?

"Rossi will never commit to riding on the edge on the GP the way that Stoner did" @Realist Well it's pretty much game over and time to grab the pipe and slippers. If he's not willing to ride on the edge than he will never beat Stoner or Jorge no matter what bike he is on - NEVER. Those guys are pushing the limits and riding on razor blade every race. We saw Jorge and Casey have their troubles early on in their careers because they were learning how to ride on that edge lap after lap. We Spies struggle with and saw Simo struggle with it as well. It's what makes GP the cream of the crop and what makes F1 cream of the 4-wheel crop - those guys have to be on edge. If they want to reach the podium let alone win a race they have to be on that razor edge. If you aren't pushing to the edge you will be midpack or worst even with the best kit.

"I think you will find Honda would take Rossi back any day of the week" I don't think Rossi has a chance in hell to ride for Honda in GPs even if he did it for free. Let's not even get into the fact that they don't need him. They already have Casey who will eat his lunch (and already has won more races head-to-head against him) and have an eye on Marquez while Dani is keeping that Spanish seat warm. Honda was more than hurt by Val leaving - they took it personal and have spent an untold amount of yen to beat him over the years. I think they quite enjoy watching him struggle more than most and would gladly rather watch him sink like a rock than offer him a life boat.

"Does not matter what Jarvis says about Rossi. "Rossi returning to Yamaha is not an option". It's not up to him if a satellite team picks him up. " um, if Yamaha tells Tech 3 "no" to Rossi than it will be a no go. I'm not sure how much influence Yamaha has over Tech 3 riders but Honda surely has to approve the riders that the their satellite teams want. You only have to look at Biaggi on the effects of being black listed by Yamaha and Honda. After he let Repsol, don't you think one of the satellite teams would have picked him up if they could??
