Amazing that people blaming Colin for this. How do you all know that Toseland is pushing because of CE, where is your proof?

2 off's in testing and a poor season last year, maybe Toseland is pushing himself to try and keep up with the best riders in the world. Really with the Yamaha being the best bike in the field, and the other riders performing much better. Maybe Toseland is out of his league and this is why he is pushing himself, beyond his limits.

Many of the fans on here took joy in calling a certain rider "crasher" Maybe the mantle has been taken by Toseland.

It's getting like groundhog day with the excuses used by a certain riders and certain fans. I wonder when the number will reach 46 :p

I would love to see Loris or Chris on the Yamaha. The Suzuki is not even in the same league as the top 3 bikes, yet they still continue to fight, all without become pre-madonnas like certain other riders from other Japanese teams. If Loris or Chris had the other Yamaha seat, I would have imagined the best bike would have filled 4 of the top 5 positions in place of a certain rider who is out of his league and will continue to crash. I guess JT is lucky he is not on the LCR Honda as every weekend would be Deja Vu.

Seems to me that Elias is been used as a scapegaot again by a Yamaha rider. I am surprised the Yamaha PR machine have not complained about Elias riding style being dangerous. At the end of the day, Crash Bandicoot can come up with all the excuses in the world. Results are what counts and in regards to the Tech 3 team CE has the results on the board and his team mate has nothing. With the current crop of young talent coming from the 250 class and Spies in World Supers. I think Crash Bandicoot might find himself without a ride in the premier class and making up numbers in BSB or AMA with another former world superbike champion.

Funny that it's not the Stoner fans that are getting excited, or not calling anyone not a real racer. As I have said in another post. All GP fans know how special VR is and dont make a comparison between the 2 riders. 1 rider is a 7 times world champion, the other is a 1 time world champion. It appears to me and a few others the only people who are quick to bag out someone, come up with excuses and childish names are the VR fans. It's a long season and many things can and will happen. race 1 to Stoner, there will be other races for VR and for JL along with CS. Who knows who will win the 09 season. I just hope if it is Stoner that he finally gets the respect a WC deserves.

RawDawg You must of had the same telecast as I did. I saw pretty much the same results. From what I can gather, those who watched the race on rossi.com only got the race view from the front of Valentino's bikes and missed all the other action. Not the ideal start to the season, but GP is back and I am sure we will see some exciting racing. The Suzuki is still down on power V the Yahama, Ducati and Honda. You get the feeling the boys will be up for another long season.

Agostini, I am glad that Stoner did not mention anything about the tires and the change of conditions like Vale and JT. It's refreshing to hear about the riders and the issues they have during the race and not get howled down as a moaners and having no personality plus other childish comments. If Stoner had of mentioned the changing of conditions and tires, we all know what childish comments would have been made about him from Jimmy and his bitter cohorts.

GooGoo I have no interest in F1. I ride and have a passion for bikes and it is the only form of motorsport I choose to follow. I gather you are upset with MotoGP and I think you need to focus your support to F1. Funny you Brits are now more focused on F1 with Button and Lewis, with JT playing tail end Charlie. Leave MotoGP as you are unhappy with it, put all your support behind Jenson and Lewis. This will keep the stress levels down and make home life more enjoyable.

GooGoo No one doubts the talents of the 7 times world champion and know how special he is. It seems to me the only people who are quick to compare Stoner and Vale are the bitter Rossi die hard fans, who can't accept the fact that someone is taking the fight to Vale. Frankly I think a few of these so called die hard GP fans need to take a good look at what they really support, MotoGP or VR. My bet is the older ones were fans of Doohan and will follow the riders who takes the mantle after Vale retires. These are fair weather fans, who should jump on the Ben Spies bandwagon. Please disagee people, please. Prove me right.

Jimmy you did not watch the trophy presentation at Laguna 08? I have it on DVD and I saw Stoner take the hand of Vale. You have missed it or dont have a copy on DVD to watch again. Do you remember Sepang in 05 with Sete? TD, I noticed the same thing with Vale, no congrats, just excuses and blame for other riders. I look forward to a good season of even racing and the Yamaha looks very good. I would never write the 7 times world champion off, more so when he is on the best bike in the field.
