F1 » Businessman seeks Turkish GP return

Jackbee, To be perfectly honest, I don't know how such a large complex could be any closer to Istanbul. Site selection/location is actually one of 'pros' of Istanbul Park, it's just under an hour's ride even with my 125cc commuter ( I do reside in the Asian side however). Relative poor attendance have always been about ticket prices here. They've been cheaper than all European venues, but the Turkish working class simply does not make nearly as much as their European counterparts. At the last race, the tickets were really affordable (35 euros for general admittance IIRC) and the grass area round turn 3 where I was at was more than 80 percent full. Attendance at race day was probably around 50k. I think it should be more than that though.

F1 » Button ready to mould McLaren

It's actually 17-3 in favor of Lewis this season, Buton only beat him 3 times in quali. Button was saying the same things at the end of 2011. He probably didn't realise Lewis had a wretched season or he knew but was just bigging himself up claiming that the 2012 car was going to be designed around his liking etc. etc... Guess what happened though, he got his a$$ handed to him by Lewis well and truly. Lewis lost upwards of 150 points this season due to misfortune and team f*** ups, which would've comfortably won him the title. Arguably, other drivers gunning for the title lost points to misfortune etc. but people don't seem to realise Lewis lost so much more...

F1 » Williams confirms F1 2013 driver line-up

As much as I like Bruno, his downfall has been quali pace. Much of the time he was better than or at least as good as Pastor come race day, but once you're compromised in quali no amount of race pace will save you. If you look at Pastor he improved a lot from 2011 to 2012 - quali wise. Same could've been said for Senna if they signed him for 2013, but now we'll never know.

MotoGP » Final 2012 MotoGP World Championship standings

Pedrosa is 18 points down, but the assumption that 20 points in PI would've given him the title here is an illusion. Jorge would've ridden a lot more careful today if the title was on the line. But what would've happened then is another matter. We'll never know. IMHO both riders would've made more than worthy champions this season. Lorenzo finished 16 out of 18 races, either in first or 2nd. That's outstanding. Pedrosa on the other hand scored 7 wins with awesome displays in all of them and dominated the second half of the season.
