F1 » Hamilton admits to ‘fear of failure’

107SS2009: This g style r kid fear/worry must have read me on here back at the end of 2008 when I told his British fan boys that the way 2008 ended for him chances are they will end up with another Demon Hill.
Yeah I remember trying to get that across too, that you never know what might happen, but his fan choir was just blindly convinced that McLaren would always be the best team and Hamilton would dominate the sport for years and years and break Schumacher's records. There really is no such thing as a "future multiple world champion". Maybe Hamilton should have read those comments, because I definitely think he read too much about his own hype and that's where it all started going wrong, with him doing interviews and talking about how many titles he wanted to win before he retired and all that... like he was somehow entitled to get as many as he wanted.

F1 » Rossi handed unexpected F1 race debut at Spa

Rossi was considered a huge talent back when he started racing in Europe, but since then he's been a bit hit-and-miss. I'd say his record in junior series is similar to Lotterer's actually, he's won the Formula BMW World Finals, finished P3 in FR3.5 and P4 in GP3 and Formula Master. He's had a race win in GP2 but no real championship challenge. Then there's the Le Mans wins of course... But Rossi is much younger, so it's hard to compare them equally. If Rossi had stuck around in GP2 for nine years I think he'd have a good chance of taking that title eventually... Anyway, what Rossi does have under his belt though is recent testing and practice runs, so with that in mind I'd expect him to be closer to Bianchi than Chilton typically is. And I expect him to be faster than Lotterer too, based on that recent F1 experience and a better car. Realistically though, they're both pay drivers with no chance of ever winning a race or title, and they will most likely share the last row on the grid

F1 » Rossi handed unexpected F1 race debut at Spa

mrfill: Is there any truth in the rumour that the Marussias will be fitted with a credit card swipe reader next year?
Proximity chips. When they pass over the start-finish line and various points on the track, telemetry and monetary compensation will be transferred. Pay drivers will need to pay by the foot - or 12 *2.54 / 100 meters.
Is that a glimpse of the future I see? "Box, box, your funds are running out!"
