F1 » FIA to study closed-cockpit concepts

F1 is safer than Indy cars, Massa's accident was a freak incident, I'm not sure even a closed cockpit canopy could have saved Jules Bianchi. Senna's accident was caused by the wheel breaking free, again a freak accident. Todays side impact and hans would have saved Ratzenberger (IMO). A screen as Tai mentioned could have helped in Massa's accident but the accident with Henry Surtess would still have had the same outcome. A closed canopy brings it's own dangers in such a confined cabin. Indy cars need to be screwed together better.

F1 » Pirelli: F1 ignored our request to limit laps

I cringe when Paul Hembry opens his mouth, he seems to antagonise the situation rather than defuse it. As for people saying Pirelli products are rubbish, that's a nonsense, got them on my car and they are good tyres. Road tyres and F1 tyres have no relation but it's a dreadful advert for their product. Clearly the drivers don't fully trust the product.
