F1 » Lap down Renault takes positives from reliability

Ausy: I am Sorry also and do not buy the Renault "line". They need to find 100HP and they have lost 2 of their 16 engines for the season. It would also be nice if "CRASH" could run a page listing all teams use of their Power Unit parts use.
Sunny usually posts that info through the season although you may need Steven Hawkins help to understand all the technical terms :) MHU MGUH POS...that's the Renault system etc

F1 » It’s good to talk... or is it?

It was good to hear Alonso's own account rather that Eric and Ron's PR bullsh1t, that pair should be a double act. Jenson is a company man and for that reason Honda and sponsors love him, Alonso isn't so it'll be interesting to see how much faster he is over the season to justify that 30 million or maybe's he's already fed up because the car is so slow. Ron probably swallowed his tongue when he heard a playback of the press conference.

F1 » Stewart urges F1 to ‘respect its heritage’

dickiebird:
Jim Clausen: Is Jackie campaigning for Bernie's job? At one time Jackie was castigated for trying to ruin the tradition of racing, in general. This was when he was trying to instigate new safety measures to F1, in particular the circuit safety. Today's racers owe Jackie Stewart a huge debt of gratitude, some owe their very lives to Jackie and his safety campaign.
Try telling that to the families of the literally scores of motorcycle racers who lost their lives because of his "safety measures". The human body dies when it impacts solid objects like catch fence poles and armco barriers. I wonder why he never got that? Probably because he had a cage surrounding him.
Sakes

F1 » Stewart urges F1 to ‘respect its heritage’

ghogmk2: By the way our local circuit fits padding to some of the Armco in impact areas when Bike races are on. Also after watching some of IOM TT am amazed at the complete lack of safety, impossible to make a track like that safe for bikes.
I was at the Ulster GP last year, the speeds and commitment are truly unbelievable on country roads and they are racing each other, not the clock. Most mental thing I've seen since watching McRae flat out in the Welsh forests in 1995. The run-off is a farmers fence, house, brick wall, barbed wire fence etc, these guys accept the ricks and do it.
