F1 » What we learned at the Monaco Grand Prix

@Ptolemy “What was that?!” Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel asked official FIA interviewer James Allen in the post-race press conference. He was referring to the absence of grid girls, as they were all replaced by male models wearing short jeans and white sandshoes. “No idea, you’re asking the wrong person,” Allen replied. “F*ck, you get there and park behind George or Dave, what’s the point?” Vettel added. :p

F1 » Lauda upset with ‘unacceptable’ Mercedes mistake

Geeez:
AlonsoFann : @ Geeez, are you saying Verstappen engineered this. This is Mercedes falling on their own sowrd.
I'm saying Mercedes took advantage of the incident involving Verstappen and got there German driver in a German car home to claim the title for the German pride.
That's serious paranoia. Reminds me of when RGB was accusing Martin Whitmarsh of personally sabotaging lulu's McLaren.

F1 » Lauda upset with ‘unacceptable’ Mercedes mistake

Why did he stop at Portier on the slow down lap? surely it wasn't because Senna crashed there all these years ago and popped over the barrier to his flat? He did mention Senna in one of his post race interviews which made me cringe. I think the fact that Rosberg joined an elite club of three in a row winners is annoying him much more than loss of points.

F1 » Ricciardo: I think the fans enjoyed Kimi pass

Kimi went slightly sideways at the top of the hill which give Daniel the opportunity, if Kimi had been punted into the barrier he'd have got a penalty, he's just lucky but not faulting him for trying. Trying to gloss over a clumsy overtake attempt by saying the fans would have enjoyed it is probably what irked most folk. Verstappen's overtake on Nandos was enjoyable as it demonstrated a lot of skill and commitment....unfortunately he undid that good work later on.

F1 » Hamilton: You rely on the team...

Moriarty7: Regardles of the race result and/or the comments above (both for and against one Lewis Hamilton, I can't help but recall a 'Top Gear' program on TV in which one Lewis hamilton drove the "average car' round the Top Gear test track - the track was wet, yet Hamilton lapped that track faster than anyone else, even those who did it with dry conditions. Now an 'average car' is not a F1 machine, but what he did (and continues to do) deserves some praise - and not the crap that he has been subjected to. I may add that I will watch F1 if there is no motorcycling on the box - I suggest that some of the "detractors" switch channels and watch a bit of WSB or MotoGP and see some fantastic skills.
His time was blown away by Riccardo in similar conditions round the Top Gear track. Man.
