F1 » Ron Dennis brands Eddie Jordan ‘a village idiot’

107SS2009:
Taz:
richard: i watched bbc last weekend for a change to brundle tv. must say that dc has improved since he got rid of the tight trousers! but as for eejit and suzie perry are a total waste of space.
Went to see the screening of the Lauda documentary last Thursday and was promised a live Q&A session afterwards. I thought it would be with Lauda but no....Suzy airhead Perry, Fisichella and Bernd Maylander instead of Lauda. Her interview technique was cringeworthy at times.
And some sheep still flock around and follow suit, although that is their problem, their problem doesn't stop there, some of those loyal sheep comes on here and parrot what they are fed.
Sunny, are you quoting Eric Cantona poetry? ...when the seagulls follow the trawler :)

F1 » Smedley: We were happy to let them race....

Rob Smedley simply couldn't give the order to tell Massa to move over which is totally understandable. It was next to impossible to pass cleanly though as others have suggested, as for Bottas holding up to let Massa pull away (which he wasn't) and win, that's bonkers and would be a statement that he's happy to be the no 2 driver. Massa's F1 career is almost done anyway.

F1 » McLaren feeling pinch as it mounts pressure on Honda

Taz: Honda have seriously underestimated the challenge, I do think they should be allowed to develop more this season (and Renault) for the good of the sport, Toto won't allow that though.
Mercedes should not be penalised for doing a better job. fERRArI have managed to up their game - your suggestion would then penalise them too for doing a better job. The rules are to blame, not Mercedes.
Ferrari were barely quicker than Red Bull at Silverstone.
Fair point, but they've massively improved from last season haven't they?
They seemed to but not been great of late, hopefully that changes as F1 badly needs competition.

F1 » Ron Dennis brands Eddie Jordan ‘a village idiot’

Stuey99:
Geeez: On this occasion Ron is right, Eddie Jordan is a mindless buffon and looks a right twit dressed in his granddad's shirt & trousers. Seeing him doing a fist bump to one of the marussia drivers just wanted to make me puke. Stupid old fart! Should get rid of him, Susie Perry and Coulthard, as they all spout a loud of rubbish!
I agree with that, except for Coulthard who I really rate. BBC should replace DC with Jackie Stewart and we'd have the full village idiot collection.
I've met DC only on a flight to Nice. really nice bloke who was happy to chat away about all things F1 and other stuff. He signed my copy of autosport too :)

F1 » Alonso: Lack of development makes racing boring

Lancsmann: Ive got a plan.. let the top teams spend as much money on R&D, testing and the like but they must provide one car in exactly the same spec to another team for a fixed fee. Less crash damage, again with fixed prices for chassis, wings etc. They must maintain the car throughout the season with all the upgrades that the main cars have. Ive been trying to phone Bernie but hes not returning my calls. This is tongue in cheek.
That's dangerously close to the BTCC....with less overtaking.
