F1 » Ferrari: Engine development ‘first victory’

Taz: You know things are bad when finding a loophole in paper work is described as a victory. Clever lawyers triumph on this occasion rather than engineering.
******** and senseless that, you are forgetting conveniently or not that (A) nobody taught it possible at the time (B) Its not only a victory but a great one at that, as I said on here at the time, Jan 03 10.42am post 36 of 100 thread/page (Alonso the target if Lulu leaves) “FIRST DIRECT HIT BY MARLBORO MAN”. And as I said elsewhere, Yes, Mercedes can be caught, no doubt there, provided the rules allows others to catch them up, and that’s regardless the TOSH that was bended about regarding the false perceived advantages of their “miracle like” split turbo system.
If the Mercedes doesn't wins (the WCC) this year I'll have no problem (happily) saying I was completely wrong. I just don't see it.

they ain't the 'sporting regulations' for nothing. The only sport in F1 is finding ways to overcome the rules the politicos seem wanting to exhibit. It's like a maze with rats in it, and the FIA keeps moving the walls and repositioning the critters. As Metallica might say, 'sad, but true' (king nothing seems to ring a little true too) (not really a Metallica fan, but it fits the bill).
Good reference Rob. I guess their album "Ride the Lightening" would be apt for the current Formula. Not a fan either (bunch of ****s) but there are one or two great tracks on that album.
