F1 » Tracks like Spa ‘vital’ for F1, insists Gastaldi

@Strider Falling out of love with F1 very rapidly. Went to the Ulster GP at the weekend. Now that's entertainment, average 131mph on small country lanes round a 7 mile track while racing each other on bikes chucking out 220 plus bhp. Absolutely bonkers. Been to 4 GP's but none were anywhere near as exciting or entertaining as this....or the forests back in the 90s when Colin was on maximum attack on the 95 RAC. I can't imagine spending the money to go to a GP while the sport is in it's current state.

F1 » Williams’ objectives 'are clear' heading to Spa

fourteenseven: quite a few (me included) think the next two races are at tracks that play to the strengths of the williams. some caution needs to be exercised though, 'lewis (in the best car this year) is a monster in canada' or 'lewis loves hungary' both progressed to unexpected wins for danni ricciardos red bull. felipe's 'I won here in 2008, so I know what it takes to win...' seems a little delusional considering he actually finished about half a minute behind the first car to take the chequered flag. i merely hope that the whole team dots all the 'I's and crosses all the 'T's in their preparations and realises their potential. along with all the preperation, a dose of good fortune (maybe what felipe was referring to) wouldnt go amiss.
They should go well, hope Felipe can get round without hitting another car.

F1 » Maldonado keen for Grosjean to stay

tommytrojan1: Taz- Sadly, Lotus need Maldonado's PDVSA dollars, so there's little chance of him departing the scene any time soon. Another damning indictment on the state of play in F1. For sure there have always been well funded drivers in F1, but Maldonado is really rubbing other (more talented) drivers' noses in it. Hard to believe he's actually a race winner, given his total ineptness both before and after he won for Williams...
I'm under no illusions that Nandos will be around as long as his oil dollars are backing him. He has speed but is inconsistent, dangerous and is unbelievably arrogant. Not qualities that will even endear him to F1 fans. He thinks that talent got him that Lotus drive, Williams were delighted to see the back of him.

F1 » F1 driver of the year so far….. revealed

Folks, This result has been manipulated by a certain forum troll using multiple IP's to register votes. I kept an eye on the results and they swung massively in a short space of time. You have to pity him really, wee toby and no friends. ps I'm not having a pop at lulu by saying the pole was manipulated, he's had a few standout races this year but Riccardo, Bottas & Alonso were my top three.
