F1 » Vettel praises ‘phenomenal results’

Sounds a much happier ship than previous years, wonder how much of a factor is Alonso's departure? We had a good team where I work, an utterly useless project manager (aren't they all :)) was appointed and the whole atmosphere has disappeared and it's all bit*hing now. Good management promoting a good atmosphere makes all the difference.

WRC » Meeke: This victory is for Colin

Show's great strength of character too bounce back in such a fashion after such a tough start to the season. When I saw he won I knew he'd dedicate it to Colin, he used to stay at Colin's place when he was helping him pushing his career on. Really glad he got his 1st victory and hopefully it gives him the confidence to get some more wins this year, never doubted his ability or speed. Great third place for Evans too.

F1 » Pirelli to take super-soft to Monaco, Canada, Austria

mytyresaregoingoff: I really hate tyre management at the level we see it today in F1. To inflict it on the classic Monaco gp is like making creme brulle with rice and milk. Rice pudding is ok but I know which I prefer
Seems like a necessary evil as it's harder to overtake this year even with DRS. Edgy (cheese) tyres have produced good races at Canada especially in the past. Artificial?...very much so? needed? probably.

F1 » No human rights concerns as Azerbaijan gets green light

RyS: So the F1 Championship risks loosing a historic race track like Monza and instead now appears to be going to Azerbaijan. What a complete farce! As for human rights he would do well to consult the OHCHR at the UN and read the most recent, and rather damning, report.
I was lucky enough to go to Monza, was at the Lesmo's in qualifying to witness Jos Verstappen getting pelted with coins by the locals after he went into the gravel trap :) and on the start finish for the race. Unfortunately it was the year a marshal lost his life in a lap one huge pile up (1999?). It's an amazing place and unthinkable to be off the calendar. Without Spa, Silverstone, Monza, Monaco etc (Canada is another) the DNA of the sport is lost for good.

F1 » Hamilton contract delay not down to #1 status bid

rbr46: Lulu wants his own custom livery, the car must be wrapped in gold and have chrome wheels. The only advertising allowed on the car is aimed at promoting Lulu's new mixtape.
do you remember about 5 years ago, a diamond was placed on the nose of lulus car atmonaco. he banged the nose and the diamond was never seen again. mind you, shortly after, he began wearing diamonds in his ears.......... apologies to paul simon
It should be Paul Simon apologising for abusing our ears with tracks like graceland :)
