F1 » F1 decides against radical changes for 2016

I do hate teams saying "we should ask the fans", Toto is the latest in a long time of bosses to come out with that blatant lie. It suits them not to change the rules, the others would do exactly the same in the same position. They don't give a stuff what the fans think. None of this is surprising, clearly falling TV audiences isn't a huge concern.

F1 » The future of F1: HAVE YOUR SAY

Oh where do we start... 1) A fairer revenue split for all teams is the most pressing matter (Bernie's 5 way agreement is killing the sport) 2) Less manufacturer influence in the rule making and the running of the sport, the tail (silver coloured) is wagging the dog. 3) Less reliance on pay drivers (cost of competing needs to be addressed) 4) Stop trashing the sports heritage by chasing Arab oil money or going to countries who have no interest in F1 to build more characterless boring tilk circuits that are half empty. 5) Pay TV model is flawed. The product isn't good enough to justify the expense. 6) More freedom for technical innovation, making the rules so restrictive that talent like Newey feel they can't add anything will cause talent to be lost to other sectors.

F1 » F1 decides against radical changes for 2016

I've attended several GP's and half my time was spent telling half our party (6 of us last time) who to look for (even with earplugs in). The sound was never a complaint. I knew what drivers were running but others didn't. Bigger numbers on the car wouldn't do any harm. Spent an evening recently costing out a GP with my nearest and dearest recently and we reckoned two weekends in nice European cities would be better than paying P&M 5k+ to watch Rosberg & Lulu lap the field. Her quote was F1 was boring and as much as I love motorsport I couldn't argue. F1 IS boring.
