WSBK » Althea boss concerned by Biaggi fight back

Run bigger engines have a weight penalty its not a hard premise to work out is it? Would Bevilacqua still be whining like a baby ( AGAIN ) if the WSBK season started 3 weeks later? That way the FIA homologation of the Panigale would have gone through in time to get the bikes race prepped in time to ship out to PI. First reports coming out of the BSB paddock who's season is starting later so allowing Panigales is that the bike is easier to ride and shrugs off the weight penalty with ease.

WSBK » Haslam bravery rewarded with top five finish

Many underestimate Leon but his record on underfunded bikes for both Stiggy Honda & Alstare Suzuki speaks for its self. I feel confident that if the BMW turns out to be more rideable than last year we will see Leon show his true colours. If however the BMW still struggles I hope that Leon puts his career ahead of loyalty and seeks a ride on a more competative machine. Anyone who has seen his rides in BSB will know what he can do. Dont forget that as a raw 18yo Leon was also in 500cc GP racing on a bike that most considered so poor it was lucky not to break down before the green flag. While results were sp**** he impressed many with his attitude & racecraft.

WSBK » Alstare confirms sabbatical from racing

If you read the article about this from a few days ago you would understand why Batta has said no thanks to the MV deal and has opted instead to wait and form a team for 2013. MV while initially keen to enter WSBK as a full factory team in partnership with Batta changed the terms offered. Initially it was full works bikes & financial support for Batta's team but a couple of weeks ago they said they now wanted Batta to not only buy the bikes at full market value & develop them for both race & road ( At Batta's expense ) but also have an open contract that at any time MV could take control of the bikes & race program with no financial compensation. MV did say that with another full years production & sales behind them they may be in a position to offer bikes on a factory supported basis

F1 » Volkswagen again linked with F1

This story keeps getting re-hashed but VW have already stated their position on this. Early last year VW stated publicly that they would not enter F1 under their own name but were very open in stating that if the RRA was successful in controlling the spiraling costs in F1 they would be interested in returning to F1 but it would be under one of the other brands they own such as Porsche, Lambourghini, Audi or Bentley.
