WSBK » 'One problem after another' for Haslam

@ Rico The team name may be Ten Kate but make no mistake it is now a full HRC works team so many of the tech staff are HRC & all of the support/development is being done by HRC. With that in mind is it any real surprise that HRC are trying out many new parts & electronics to get the best out of the ageing fireblade pending its replacement for next season?

" Problem is it's not working well, 18 riders with several rounds either still to be confirmed or already have agreements but they have the option to break if a minimum number of riders are not confirmed. Sad fact is that in its current form WSBK is simply pricing its self out of the reach of many teams budgets. Look at CRT MotoGP. Use the same engine as WSBK but slightly detuned to prolong lifespan in a prototype or custom built chassis, Maximum of 8 engines per season. WSBK, Same engine, in theory in a production chassis but thats a theory almost all teams now run custom or heavily modified chassis. The only limits on engine numbers being imposed by team budget. Some top teams have been known to use 4 or 5 engines PER RACE MEETING. Get costs back in control & return WSBK to its roots of production racers instead of todays prototypes in all but name & the series has a bright future but if not it will die & sooner than many exp
