WSBK » Smrz dropped by Effenbert Liberty

@ Sick Cylinder It is about debts but it is not Smrz who owes Liberty money it is the other way round. Smrz was a paid contracted rider to Liberty who, If a press release shown by Benetts bike insurance on twitter is correct, has done exactly the same as Guintoli did & refused to ride anymore because of a "large" amount of unpaid wages & bonus payments

MotoGP » Stoner: Rossi has 'done nothing but complain'

I have never heard Rossi complain. I have however heard Rossi asking for changes to the bike & indeed only a day or so ago Rossi thanked Ducati for their work and expressed his disappointment that he had not yet managed to win with the bike but said he would still try to do so before he leaves them at the end of the season. To put an even look on things Stoner himself asked for changes in his time with Ducati. No rider can get more out of a bike than it is capable of delivering be that rider be Rossi, Stoner or any other out there.

MotoGP » Ducati MotoGP debut for Scott Redding

@ TalentFan Despite early in the season Poncheral was talking of adding a performance clause into Bradleys contract requiring consistent top 10 placements with minimum podiums he has now confirmed that Bradley will be on a T3 MotoGP bike next season. It is obvious that the T3 Moto2 bike is not up to par with the bikes it races against so I would guess that performance clauses go both ways & Bradley could have had them for not providing machinery capable of fulfilling the podium requirement.

MotoGP » Ducati MotoGP debut for Scott Redding

Erm.... Crash.net... You really do need to keep up to date with the news before reporting things. There is NO uncertanty about the Pramac & Cardion customer spec bikes at all. Pramac, the company that owns & funds the race team of the same name have gone bankrupt & the only reason administrators are allowing team to finish the season is that costs less than the penalty payments they would have to make to DORNA if they pulled out. Cardion AB have already stated they will not be running a customer spec Ducati next year. They said they will be running either another manufacturers customer bike or more likely a CRT. It was reported some time ago that Marc VDS were in negotiations with Ducati to step up into MotoGP and become an official satellite team the same as T3 are with Yamaha. It is worth remembering that this year like many previous years there has been no satellite Ducati's on the grid. Although many call them that they have been customer spec bikes rather than factory support

WSBK » Sylvain Guintoli switches to PATA Ducati

I really wish Guinters the best luck in the world for this. It was reported on GPone as early as the Friday evening later in the day after Guintoli quit Liberty because they were unable to supply a bike for him that a Ducati was sat in the back of the PATA garage with Sylvain's race number on ready for him to qualify on if contracts could be finalised in time so this is not exactly unexpected news.

WSBK » Liberty changes view, criticises Guintoli

So GPone running a story yesterday in which a team member who asked to be un named stated that over half of the team staff had refused to travel to Brno because many of them had not been paid their full salary for "many months" and not at all for a few months has nothing whatsoever to do with it then? The decision to provide bikes to other riders was purely financial. Guintoli is a paid rider so every time he sits on the bike Liberty racing have to pay him where the other riders in the team are paying riders meaning every time they sit on the bike their personal sponsors have to pay Liberty for it.

WSBK » Guintoli splits with Liberty Ducati

there have been alot of negative rumours surrounding Liberty racing for a while now. Right at the start of the season there were questions asked how the team could possibly afford to run the amount of bikes & riders they had on contract. Effenbert brewery were reported as considering withdrawing funding for the team after the team manager made his outburst at Monza. Even before then Guintoli was reported as having told the team he would quit if they failed to provide him with a more competative ride. As close as yesterday morning it was reported that Liberty had informed Ducati they would not be running their bikes next year and were in negotiations to secure 2 customer spec BMWs I think all we really know is that the team is in deep trouble.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi, Marlboro and Yamaha

There are more parties at play over Rossi than Marlboro , Ducati & Yamaha. Honda have said clearly that they are willing to supply a full factory spec machine to Rossi to race under Gresini colours ( Remember Marco had the same deal he was contracted to HRC who gave him works machinery under Gresini colours )OR and this is the important bit any other team that he signed with, Could this be because Coke have expressed an interest in sponsoring Rossi in a team. Lets not forget also that the Fiat title sponsorship of Yamaha happened because of Rossi & was terminated at the end of its contract period when Rossi was no longer at Yamaha. I think we should all just sit back & let whatever negotiations are in play work out.

WSBK » BMW restructures, slims to one team for 2013

Middle of last year there were rumours that BMW would drop to one team for 2013 & the team would be Checa + ?. At the time it was only reported in Italian media on one or two websites that were not very reliable however today BMW announce they are dropping to one team & it is reported on GPone that the riders expected to get the seats are... Checa & Melandri Time will tell who gets the seats anything else at the moment is pure speculation.
