MotoGP » Barbera flies Ducati flag with first front row

The real shame is that it is likely this will be the last positive headline we will see for a Pramac bike. Pramac Generators the company that owns & finances the team have gone bankrupt, The receiver said in a statement they would try and keep the team financed but they could not guarantee it so every race they attend could be their last. I hope Barbera gets a ride for next year so he can show us if this if he has the talent this position suggests.

MotoGP » Stoner: 'Win or bin' one turn early, slams marshals

Before anyone starts bashing the marshals it is worth noting that standard international instructions for marshals is if you are in any doubt that you can get the machine back & running safely without putting yourself in danger by being near other machines at race pace you must recover the machine to safety and not attempt to aid the machine in rejoining the race.

MotoGP » Lorenzo to limit track time after engine loss?

Whilst I sympathise that the loss of an engine is not ideal I think Jorge's hope that he be allowed to gain an extra engine without penalty is doomed to failure. For Jorge to get a non penalty extra engine every other team on the grid has to agree to it. On one hand you are asking teams to allow a rival a concession that could make it harder for them to compete with him, On the other hand other teams since the engine restriction came in have been denied a non penalty engine because Yamaha amongst others voted against it.

MotoGP » Out of luck Rossi hit by tyre woe, Bridgestone launch probe

Last year the tyres caused accidents because they took too long to heat up leaving with riders having accidents early through lack of grip. This year tyres heat up but fall apart. I think Bridgestone needs to look at BSB because I can not remember when tyre problems were reported there. Can we all stop the Rossi / Stoner shouting match. Stoners WC was won on the last year of Ducati using a steel trellis frame. Stoner started complaining of exactly the same problems that Rossi & Hayden report as soon as Ducati switched to a CF frame. Ducati need a ground up redesign of the bike by someone with experience of alloy race bikes if they are to have any hope of becoming competative again.

MotoGP » Pedrosa: I saw the image of two Repsols on the ground...

@ youvebeenschooled So I bring credibility into the toilet? Maybe you should read reports or watch coverage before you make such bold claims. In the pre race briefing that subscribing members of the MotoGP website could watch live on friday Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of DORNA, announced that DORNA & all teams had reached an agreement to axe the rookie rule and it would be ratified in advance of the Assen MotoGP race. With regards to Dani being told his contract would not be renewed check GPone.com occasionally it was reported there as well as Gazetta dello Sport, Both also carried an interview with Nakamoto head of HRC who said the door to a Rossi return was open, They reported this 2 weeks before it made it to English language media.

MotoGP » Pedrosa: I saw the image of two Repsols on the ground...

Lets be honest here Pedrosa was really thinking about his ride next year. Now that it has been announced the rookie rule has been axed one of the Repsol seats has been filled by Marquez leaving one other. Before Stoner's retirement announcement it was reported in Italian media that Pedrosa had already been told his contract would not be renewed but this changed to we will talk to Dani after Stoner announced his retirement. There are many really good riders available for next year so if Dani wants any chance at all of keeping his ride he needs to keep the team happy by not being stupid.

MotoGP » 'Incredible' last to sixth for injured Cal Crutchlow

MKPom Bradley has a confirmed contracted ride in the Tech3 team for next year but I dont think Cal has to worry about losing a ride. He has already been offered a works Ducati ride & with 2 works Honda & a works Yam seat unfilled as well as Ducati on the form he has shown so far I would bet that his manager has already been approached by team managers wanting to secure his services.

MotoGP » 'Incredible' last to sixth for injured Cal Crutchlow

The result is made even more impressive by the fact that Cal admitted after the race that despite him telling track medics the hospital had cleared him to ride the opposite was true they told him not to ride or weight bear on his foot at all. He had broken & dislocated his ankle rather than badly spraining it as was said originally. Compare this to a footballer who is out for weeks if they stub a toe.
