F1 » McLaren: We're 100% behind Button

Jenson has long had the reputation of being really smooth & kind with his tyres. This years McLaren is supposedly one of the kindest cars on the grid as far as tyres are concerned. There is talk around the paddock that this years Pirelli tyres need drivers to be fairly aggressive to get them up to temperature so are we seeing Jenson now being hampered by what has in the past been a desirable quality?

WSBK » Improving Baz decided against Sykes pass

Loris was class in BSB only being held back by a crappy bike provided to him by Rob Mac. When a personal sponsor folded & Rob Mac pulled his ride the only thing that stopped Loris being signed by another team who were offering a paid ride was Rob Mac took legal action to make sure that he was not released from his contract even though he was no longer riding.

BSB » MSS Kawasaki 'releases' Hickman

Over the last couple of years at least one MSS Kawasaki rider rode a different manufacturers bike in WSB on more than one occasion and came nowhere at the time Morgan stated it had been done "in order to give the rider more experience" This time Hickman had what can only be described as good results with a ninth in one race on a bike he had never sat on before free practice & he is released. Something tells me that if Hickman had poor results it would again be described as aan opportunity to gain experience. Bear in mind that Hickman was not a contracted rider and had to bring sponsorship in order to keep his ride. Finally do you REALLY think that Infront the organisers & promoters of WSB would have allowed Hickman to ride if he had not been goven the OK to do so?

F1 » Alonso: Less respect in F1 than years gone by

@ ghog F.I.A. Blue rule book states that when a F1 driver is shown the blue flag they do indeed have to pull over within 2 corners and let the lapping car past. However if a car shown the blue flag is involved in a fight for position with another car if they carry on this even if they pull over within 2 corners they can then receive a penalty for impeding a faster car.

F1 » Alonso: Less respect in F1 than years gone by

This may sound harsh but its hard to get drivers to respect each other when the rules surrounding F1 are so restrictive. What happened to a blue flag only being a warning that a faster driver is coming behind you so you know not to block them? These days if a lower running set of drivers are fighting for position are shown the blue flag they have to immediately pull over & let people through. & no real overtaking happens anymore, Why should it when DRS means you can overtake almost at will or pit stops are planned & timed to overtake while stationary. Get racing back into F1 and respect will return

WSBK » Haslam or Melandri for first BMW win?

Despite his relatively young age Leon has more experience than most on the grid. He is still the youngest ever points scorer in the top flight MotoGP class ( Then 500cc 2 strokes) on a highly uncompetative unreliable bike that was lucky to finish the race without breaking down. Not just because I am a brit but because for too long Leon has been under estimated I would like to see the first BMW win by Leon & I agree with the earlier comment that Leon seems to have more than the measure of Melandri. Add on to this that Leon is tipped to fill in for Colin Edwards on the BMW Suter CRT bike & the question should really be if Leon gets the first BMW win & puts in a strong showing on the CRT will BMW be able to keep Leon on their bikes next season?
