Marauder: I don't get the hate for Red Bull, all they want is an engine that can compete to the level they're used to. Despite the push for this change, Renault have failed and refuse to spend tokens on development. Red Bull have done all they can to improve their car but it's engine performance that is the issue, you can't blame them for wanting a competitive engine. They spend huge amounts of cash and aren't getting a return for their investment thanks to an unreliable engine partner.
Partially right Marauder! The whole mess started when Jean Todt imposed these stupid "green machines"and that utterly stupid fuel consumption rules, agreed by all!v (That ignorant Abiteboul was one of them!) So Reanult never had a chance to do a proper and fair caching up. This was even emphasized by Wolff and Co, who so strongly opposed the "engine de-freeze" last year! rob01: Vettel is an excellent driver. He FULLY grasped what Newey and Renault built TOGETHER. The ebd was just as much renault engine as it was the chassis. As I said, perfect for one another. They didn't need more HP.
rob .ANY engine could be tuned exactly the same way. it had zilch to do with what name was on the engine block. if it was just down to a specific engine, then webber would have been 2 nd in the wdc, and followed by another couple of renault engined cars.
You just don't get it. Or blinded by your seb glasses. With your webber analogy seb must look the same last year. Dan won 3 races.
