F1 » F1 success ‘remarkable’ for Mercedes – Wolff

107SS2009: Rob, fully agree that the car completely annihilated the grid and that is why I said that it rendered it's drivers immaterial, any driver from on the grid could have won the championship in that car. my only surprise is that they didn't won all races and finished 1-2. DR'S win was just due to their car problems and nothing to do with the RB car or driver.
Yes it was such a feat that Ferrari nearly collapsed from the weight of Merc's efforts. Heads are still rolling.

F1 » Dennis points finger at Hamilton for 2007 issues

SWEAT: It was Lewis who begged Alonso to release the emails after asking Ron to lay his hands on those tec stuff.Lewis is no good as a driver and worse as a human being. Thanks ,your L.....eminences!
So you are suggesting that lulu got Alonso (enemy) to release information to damage Ron (ally) which ended up with Ron (ally) getting the shove and McLaren losing a ton of money. Knowing that Alonso was on his way out, why would he want to get rid of his most powerful ally, just to help his enemy? I can see him urging Ron to play dirty with Alonso in order to get him out the way - that makes some sense - but to sabotage Ron doesn't add up.
Alonso had Max on speed dial. Lewis was kept out of the effort to massage the Ferrari manual. Pedro and FA did the deed.

F1 » Retained Button ‘inspired’ by Prost

benignlyindifferent: I just read the transcript from the interview with JB. Clearly, the contract is for more than one year and likely has several interesting clauses that hopefully we learn more about in the coming weeks.
From what I've read Alonso's contract is for 3 years and Jenson's is for 2 years. I haven't heard any rumours about what each are being paid, that could make interesting reading.
I have read 25 for FA and 3 for Button. Per year
