Spongo.. Sunny's remarks are biting because he is correct. How is it right for Brawn to make such bold statements when he received so much HELP. He should hope that Max has not already talked with some of the new teams and made similar deals with gifts.

Williams let Luca know their intentions at the meeting. FOTA realized that Williams had NO option and allowed them to sign a modified agreement with FOTA. That way all non suspended members would be unified. So, NO Williams was not thrown out but suspended for this effort. FOTA has put the ball back in Max's court. Now he can prove whether he is worthy of leading. And it also shows how making a deal with the devil will turn out from now on. Williams errored in taking Bernie's money and Max's diffuser.

It's not going to a spec series. Never will. The levels that Max is now suggesting may happen near the 100m mark are still very high. Take out the fact, that now a bunch of stuff will NOT go against the cap and you will see that huge money will still be needed. Max and Bernie did not appreciate Ferrari forming FOTA. So they crushed it by showing the teams they could not trust each other.(cheaterdiffuser)But the end result he wanted was CONTROL. Lets see if all teams sign and Max wins. Even after the drop to forty million plus you can still spend a bunch of money in other areas that do not cost against the cap. To me this has all been a ruse for who wears the pants. He is punching on Ferrari.

Senna.. it's all about control. The children(f1teams)has been taken care of for many years. Now the children want the control. The two parents have found a way to cause major disruption and mistrust so that all the children come running back to the parents. Thus proving that the children can never run the show and that they need max and bernie. FOTA was looked at as a major threat and Max and Bernie spanked them by turning each other against themselves by giving some of the children the cheater diffuser. Once again proving Bernie's thought that the teams can never agree on anything.

Luca protected Williams from further punishment by allowing them to sign a modified agreement with FOTA. They were suspended knowingly so they would not be punished by Max. And thus allowing all teams not suspended to be unified. So in a round about way Luca protected Williams from a sure beating.
