F1 » Raikkonen: Small mistakes, big costs

richard: well, i do think that keeping pace with a 4 times wdc in the same car is certainly proof that kimi has lost none of his speed. and even a 2 times wdc in a better car was not able to keep up with him. dont dismiss kimi because of his laid back attitude. he has the pace and i was watching the f1 show last night and it appears that other respected pundits concur with my opinion.
one time in ten races keeping pace and a race he didn't finish. i don't think that is proof of his abilities.

F1 » Haas hints at driver options

Danica is just a PR dream. Nothing more. Her last 280 starts in Nascar and Indycar she has ONE win which was a gift in Japan. Helio was told he was low on fuel while leading gave way to danica for a much needed win for both her and Indy car. With the series dying at that point having her win was a media stunt. Helio had enough fuel to not only finish but to run 3 laps more. At age 33 she has just lost Go Daddy as primary sponsor and looks to be spinning in the toilet.

F1 » Ricciardo sure ‘step forward’ led to Hungary podium

George Zaidan:
rob01: The mickey mouse track made a couple teams look better than they actually are.
hmmmm I always considered that a professional is able to handle every situation, even a micky mouse track. which teams are you referring to rob01, is one of them the red team that you previously stated and were certain that they were equal to Mercedes?
Red bull and mclaren if you didn't notice.

F1 » Alonso lauds ‘beautifully balanced’ McLaren

mark.orr.315: Hmm when Honda had a team they had a great engine a lousy car. They got Ross Brawn to put a team together an build them a great car. Just of the cusp of success the financial crisis hit, Honda panicked only to see the car they spent MILLIONS developing win the championship with a Mercedes logo on the engine cover. Arigato Honda SAN. Now Honda partners with McLaren, and in their arrogance they think they can build a competitive engine with this new super complex formula in 2 years? Mercedes has been at it for at least 3-4 years. Now they have an awesome car, best driver in F1 and a boat anchor under the engine cover. All the while they are being thrashed on the biggest stage by their European rivals.
Honda knew the new formula for as long as the other Engine manufacturers.

F1 » Button excited by free F1 tyre choice

cassyo: As Alonso has said : it is a coin in the air. The problem is that F1 urgently need to bring back the classic times when the coin was in the air, at every race's start and not just in the preseason. Free tyre choice might be a good point to begin, but, obviously, not enough to regularly keep that coin up in the air.
I would take what Alonso or anyone from McLaren says with a grain of salt. Had the coin flip suited them you would have never heard a peep.
