F1 » F1: 'Now it's up to Maranello'

walrus909: It can't be both ways, Alonzo says his next car is only his decision to make. As well as "If we had kept up, we'd no where also, as it was already made three months ago".
Alonso says a lot of things. The one thing he didn't expect was Vettel making his own announcement. It now appears that FA is being shoved on his way out the door. With the help of the Red Bull marketing machine making FA look foolish.

F1 » Ecclestone unveils Azerbaijan track layout

All new track owners seek Tilke as they do not want to take the chance on having to back build their track. The book on how to produce a F1 track is massive and no other designer/engineer want to spend the resources to learn how to build one track for F1 once or twice a decade. Its not a matter of others being able to build tracks as they can but not to the necessary specifications F1 requires.

F1 » F1: 'Now it's up to Maranello'

JJ9871011: With all this said, the only fact we know is SV is leaving RBR, and they signed DK. So we all know RBR is off limits. Anything else is all still speculation as to where SV, FA will go. For all we know SV could be going to McL
Red Bull jumped the shark and announced it would be Ferrari. Vettel out smarted mr. Alonso and his plan to manipulate the driver lineups. Now he and Ferrari are busy scraping eggs.

F1 » Bianchi 'critical but stable' after crash

I will look at the rule book. I think ANY flagman that sees a horrific crash close by their flag stand should react with at least double yellows. I seem to be in the same company as Taipan so I feel good about my opinion. Even though I am wrong by the rule. Also remember when a track worker craned a driver back into a race? They are not always the brightest.

F1 » Bianchi 'critical but stable' after crash

There is something that eats at me when I know a man has possibly been killed and see green flags. And I said it was my opinion and you can argue all you want that the rule is correct. You will have the rule to defend your position. I am talking about common sense. Your right when saying he could have been waving any flag in the world but it doesn't sit right with me.

F1 » Bianchi 'critical but stable' after crash

It was not forward or after the flag stand. It was underneath it. That few yards from it makes it easy for some to apply a rule.. I do understand your position on the rule but I don't believe that a flagman watching a horrific crash should ever indicate Green when he himself had to take cover. In addition the impact threw another track worker back towards the track, something the flagman also watched. Green even if by rule IN MY OPINION, not by rule was wrong.

F1 » Bianchi 'critical but stable' after crash

Sunny when the flag man watched Bianchi crash below his tower and for sure after he himself ducked for cover. His yellow or red should have been brought out. He watched a car torpedo a construction truck. And jumped back up waving a green. A medical car never never gets the double yellows. Regardless of being moved forward, backwards, sideways or straight up. No arm chair expert needed for that one.
