richard:
rob01:
107SS2009: I agree with Rob, it's the teams principals voter that have any substance for me.
They have announced Lewis as driver of the year. This by the most respected group in F1.
that is hilarious rob. when they voted vettel as driver of the year, you dismissed them. and when they voted alonso driver of the year, you also dismissed them. but now they have voted for your latest idol, they are now the most respected group! that has made my day!
Richie, I posted that before ANY announcement was made. But very glad to make your day.

I know that Rob was in for a direct hit, but all the same what I said stands.
You never back flip. You're what I call True North.

F1 » Button: More than one year F1 deal was must

NickSpeaks: On another note, apparently JB has had his salary cut from £12m to less than £8m while Alonso is on £25m per season. What a bloody joke. Alonso is the best, better than Button I would say, but more than 3 times better? Not on your life! Anyone would think Button was beaten by his previous 2 team mates. The fact that he destroyed them both apparently means he needs to take a pay cut. Where in ANY team have you seen that before? Especially after his finish to the season ensured McLaren stayed ahead of FI, saving McLaren millions. God help Button if he actually wins the WDC next year! At this rate he'll get the sack, or at the very least be offered a £0 deal for 2016. Bonkers!
Button was the one that said money was not an issue and he would take a pay cut to stay with the team.

F1 » Ecclestone calls for F1 power unit to be dropped

richard:
Corkey: There hasn't been "proper" racing for years. Changing the engine back won't change that - all it will do is create more unnecessary cost to teams/companies who have spent time and money developing these new engines for the new Formula.
incorrect. the companies can revert quite quickly to the engines that they used last year. all the development has been done, the equipment to re manufacture still exists. it would cost far more for ferrari and renault to redevelop the new pus. further, the older engines can be provided to lesser teams at a small fraction of the cost of the new pus.
Ferrari could ask Massa to return the one they gave him as a parting gift. :)

F1 » Red Bull has ‘real desire’ to catch Mercedes

107SS2009: Richard couldn’t have been more to the point everybody on the grid will do their best to catch-up at least according to their individual abilities and means. But having said all that it is a fact that Red Bull goes that one millimetre further than the others will as shown by the discovery by the FIA stewards re their front wing gimmick, which was something that was not dependent on the FIA load test to discover, but was only due to one of their high profile engineers having been hurt by them (fallen out with them).
Didn't seb give a hint when he said they will never know what we are doing?
