F1 » Honda hit by FIA engine loophole

The real problem for Honda is that there was not really a loophole. The rules are very clear as to when the homologation for new engines need to occur . The loophole was created due to the fact that Merc would not let the others catch up. F1 has used loopholes as needed to create parity for many years. No other racing series in the world has so many loopholes. And you can always count on Charlie W for the help.

F1 » Alonso the target if Hamilton leaves Mercedes F1

107SS2009: BTD, Honda’s one year later than others entry into the new PU formula was solely their chose, that chose was designed to avoid the trials and tribulations/pitfalls that others went through with such a highly complex new PU formula. I am certain that Honda didn’t started on their PU any later than Mercedes did, unlike FERRARI and Renault which couldn’t because they could not concentrate fully on the new formula having been fighting for the championship. That’s why I said some time ago that “it’s not like Mercedes have brighter engineers than FERRARI and Renault that they done a better job” “it was more about the effort and resources they were able to throw at it”. In fact Mercedes is the least experienced of the four on the grid (2015) when it comes to turbocharged (actually turbosupercharged) FI engines.
Ferrari have asked AVL for help with their PU. So it seems their brightest are behind the power curve of Merc.

F1 » Alonso the target if Hamilton leaves Mercedes F1

107SS2009: And now that the discussion has somehow more or less turned back on the subject proper, here is a warning to Lulu followers (are you reading Rob?) to brace themselves for a possible repeat of Lulu telling his present bosses to go swivel. Shortly after 2014 Belgian GP rumours stated doing the rounds that a meeting took place at Mercedes described as (could spell the end of Lulu tenure with the team), in the preceding weeks Rosberg signed a multi-year deal up to 2017, but plans were then put on hold in regards extending Lulu’s contract beyond 2015. At the time (5th September) the Guardian reported that those in Stuttgart weren’t happy with the level of remuneration they were paying Lulu and so any new deal would require Lulu to take a pay cut.
They were not happy with Lewis calling Britany a cheat. Secondly if they are looking at El Diablo they would be writing the biggest check on the grid for a driver.
