F1 » Arrivabene urges Ferrari to avoid ‘fake’ Friday runs

csmith: There is no reason why this needs to be public. They should have acted kn this long ago. Ferrrari strategy team seems to be in shambles this year. Arrivabene is no brawn. Not even one fourth.
and how do you know that arrivabene is no brawn? he hasnt been in the job very long, but is doing a good job nevertheless. but all teams go for show laps, so there is nothing really wrong about that. and it does give the teams an indication of what might b achieved in quali trim. but ferrari are very nearly there. look at austria........if seb did not lose 10 secs in his pit stop, he would have been right with lulu at the end.
I don't remember Ross issuing homework.

F1 » Drivers play down desire for ‘risky’ F1

here4thesun2: On the other end of the spectrum, the most recent Indycar oval race at Chicagoland speedway provided a great race measured by competition and number of lead changes. It also had lots of drivers stepping out of the cockpit to microphone stating that the current racing 'is going to cause another Las Vegas (get someone killed)' and if someone else wants this type of racing, ' to get into the car and try it themselves'. Nascar drivers said the same thing when they were driving through a hornet's nest on the superspeedways. Good TV don't make for good racing, I think is the message.
The most recent race was Fontana. Pack racing at 218mph.75+ lead changes. Very exciting to watch. Drivers bitched.

F1 » Hamilton: I’d rather anyone won but Nico…

Lewis is following the same path as other media *****s. It doesn't matter what flies out of the mouth as long as it draws media coverage. His brand or style is on par with many celebs that seek constant attention with the goal of making their brand go world wide. His net worth outside of the F1 contract is skyrocketing. And then there are those that fall into the trap of throwing their arms up at every stunt and actually helping his cause.

rob01: I don't remember Ross issuing homework.
oh he did, but lulu still wouldnt do it! so merc sacked the teacher instead!
Didn't the teacher show Lewis that you can do what ever you want? Ross arranged the secret tire test and added the black helmets for flair. In addition was labeled the most arrogant man in the sport when he was gifted the Brawn team and ran the DD.

F1 » FIA moves to quash suspicions of fuel advantages

mytyresaregoingoff: Most of the talk was about a Smokey Yunick style work around. In fact I fail to see how mixing oil into fuel would give a power advantage unless the oil was full of cetane(or similar) type enhancers that would destroy the oil's protective qualities. So here FIA is a simple fix. hamollagenaise the fuel and oil. Make them use only oil and fuel that is readily available to the public and sells in excess of certain quantities. Then if they really want to bleed one into the other who gives a dam.
All components of F1 fuel are based on pump fuel. In other words can only contain compounds that are found in commercial gasoline.

F1 » Horner addresses Red Bull exit rumours

In addition I should add that during the height of their success The Finger said it was the others fault for resting their balls in the pool. The same team that wanted different tires bolting them backwards to get their way. And now screaming they want crumbly tires back. Red bull is a circus and a foul circus at that. Sell the team Dieter and run like you did from Nascar when you couldn't win.
