Dorna and the FIM together majorly F*-up GP racing. A few manufacturers with the latest tech, and their satellite teams with no chance to win anything. The only thing that still looks interesting is actually their Moto2 class. Which has free frame rules, a ban on all electronics and a cheap engine build by Honda and Honda only. 50 teams filed an entry, with more than 90 rider positions..... 36 can race. That against a MotoGP grid of 16-20 bikes of which only 6 are really competitive. One looks like the current F1 and the F1 the manufacturers want. The other looks like the capped F1.

And they are so easily upset. The promotion is simply horrible. The Dutch commentators went into Istanbul and asked around. Nobody knew that there was an F1 race this weekend. Most thought it was later in the year or had already been ridden or if they knew it was this month they thought it was in two or three weeks time. They don't all have to go, but if nobody can answer when it is, something has gone wrong on the promotion side.

@ Freddie, the fastest car is not necessarily the "best" car. Reliability and teamwork is also a great factor and Ferrari was lacking there with their mechanical problems and pitstop f-ups. Didn't Massa's car blow up one lap from a victory and didn't someone push a button so the electronic lollipop have the "go" sign when there was still a fuel hose attatched?

"The family would like to make it clear that they are in no way involved with Brabham Grand Prix Limited and received no consultation regarding the company's plans to resurrect their historic name in Formula One. "The family is taking legal advice and will take necessary steps to protect their name, reputation and its goodwill."

F1 will raise a lot more sponsorship money than the WTCC. If you have the contacts and they have money, but don't feel that WTCC is giving them the correct amount of exposure, the new-rule F1 might just be the way to get exposure for a limited amount of cash. At the current teams they will be laughed away because under the current rules their offer would be peanuts. So that might possibly explain why a team who think that it is impossible to run WTCC now think they can create a F1 team.

I heard it too from another source, Casey is riding with an old version of the electronics because the new versions interfere too much.

I wonder how a nutcase like Anthony West would do on the Duc. He's cheap and crazy enough to ride the bike through all the **** it tries to throw at him. And he's an Aussie too. Might just work.

You can tell that you are still competitive after you have shown it with good results. Just telling it without something to back it up sounds like ********. Is this a shoutout to the fans or to the management in Japan?
