Imola - Race results (2)
1 disagrees.
Biaggi was terrible on the brakes. Looses a lot of time there and f*** up that chicane more than once. If Supersicco can beat Spies in his first WSBK race while Spies has been racing the stuff all his life.... I see a new JT on the B-choice Yamaha.

ING, Mutua quit 'scandalised' Renault.
1 agrees.
ING's insurance activities are 5 times bigger than it's banking activities. 80% of it's income is from insurance.

Marco Simoncelli testing WSBK Aprilia.
1 agrees.
What Honda thinks about it? Depends on what his contract is? Is his contract specifically to ride Gilera 250 twostrokes? Or is the contract with the Aprilia conglomeration to ride whatever they present him (ride 250's on our Gilera and test our Superbike if we want you to). Or maybe it is simply a part of his contract that he demanded to ride a WSBK race or test the bikes instead of more money that Aprilia maybe doesn't have. I guess Aprilia simply wants a lot of exposure and they have this star rider under contract with the option to do this. He learns more about fourstrokes and Aprilia benefits from the input of a top young 250 rider.

The full race fixing verdict from the FIA
2 agree.
How easy it gets lost in history that McLaren got fined for lying in the first hearing they went to. Hearing 1) No Max and Co, our one employee acted on his own, we suspended him immediately, the documents and data were not used in our organisation, nobody knew, we deleted all as soon as it came to our attention. After which the FIA punished them lightly. After which came to light that they had more documents, spread them troughout the organisation and used it to test on the cars. After which the FIA punished them for lying about it. Briatore lied from front to back. Renault itself did not lie when they came aware of this situation. That is the difference.

FIA announces Renault verdict
4 agree.
Remember that McLaren got the 100M fine after not coming clean about all that happened when they were given the chance and even said that they had revealed all when it was not the case. Had McLaren owed up to all that happened, they would not have been given a 100m fine. So in that light it was clever of Renault to shift all the blame to a small group and remove them, play innocent as manufacturer and tell not to contest the allegations. But I agree that they came of relatively light.

JYS: 'Self-destructive' F1 is 'fundamentally rotten'
10 agree.
The fundamental problem is money. The amount of money that can be gained by cheating, playing political games and investing in ideas that go beyond the rulebook. There is too much money to be gained. And the sport is governed by organisations who can loose too much money if they change it.

Briatore and Symonds to face criminal charges?

If I were ING I would get my name off that car and out of the team name ASAP.
