F1 » F1 has lost the 'fear factor' - Davidson

It irritates me as well, that drivers run off track and can go back on without loosing too much time, just to try the same again next corner. Or cut chicanes because they made a braking mistake. Not long ago you'd loose a wing or break a wheel. Nobody wants to see drivers die or get injured. But mistakes should be punished by car damage or end of race.

MotoGP » Latest Lorenzo, Marquez clash '50-50'

I knew it would lead to a blackflag too, but first race control has to make the decision. Up to that point you are still in the race. Look at it in a legal way, not with emotion and gut feeling. Race control has to make an official decision and follow the guidelines for announcing it. Therefore it is also not correct to put Pedrosa behind Rossi. The rider could not know, at the point of going back one position, what the decision of race control was until he passed pitwall. If you want that different, push for rules that allow radio contact or better rules for the situation that the current rule created. This (blackflag situation, dropping a position) is how the FIM see it as well.
