F1 » Canadian GP 'Open Doors' day canned

I'm an F1 fan and also a student, paying serious money for higher education, and I cannot for the life of me even begin to comprehend the logic behind this kind of protests. Sure, they're entitled to do it, but they are brainless idiots if you ask me. If your degree is so great and will do you so much good, you should be willing to pay for it. If it's not, then you shouldn't expect millions of taxpayers to subsidise it just because "it would be weely cool to go to cowege!". It's not like higher education is free anyway, you know? You probably heard already the phrase "there's no such thing as a free lunch". Guess what: if you don't pay for your degree, someone will. I just don't see how it's unfair to ask you to pay tuition, yet it's totally okay to ask Mr. and Mrs. Alderson to contribute to covering the cost of your degree.
