MotoGP » Qatar MotoGP: How close was first single-tyre race?

The solution to the problem does not lie in taking Stoner and Rossi away. Actually, it would be okay if the two had battles like the one at Laguna Seca last year on a consistent basis. The problem is that, even between those two, we hardly ever see close racing on track. I agree with the suggested ban on electronics. This is not a race to find out which manufacturer can make a bike with better electronics. This is a race to find out who is the better driver. Just see what happened in the last few F1 races after the ban on traction control and reduction of aerodynamics. Things got instantly a million times better, because it is now a more even playing field. And MotoGP desperately need it.

MotoGP » de Angelis escapes punishment for Pedrosa clash.

This was a pure and simple racing incident. It was actually one of the few points of interest in an otherwise very boring race. If de Angelis had been punished, the message sent to the peloton would have been that it is better to stay behind and not overtake because if you do something risky, you will be punished. What the Italian did was brave, it was a great maneuvre and it was a showcase of aggressive and attacking riding style. It's a shame most riders don't have this mentality, because correctness and cautiousness are slowly killing what was once one of the most enthusiastic and entertaining sports.
