WSBK » Tragedy strikes Laguna Seca MotoAmerica race

TomIvoh: I know this is secondary, but how come there were 2 spanish into that american race ?
Bernat moved last year in hopes for better paycheques, since he privately had to work his way up with minimal resources and his homeland paid very little to non-famous riders. He was the only Spanish regular participant. Rivas on the other hand built somewhat of a name for himself on the European scene the latest few years and was invited specially for a couple of US races to help develop BMW Los Angeles' machinery. For the record, they were the only Spanish riders on the field.
That's tragic since it seems like an electronic or mechanical malfunction with his BMW caused the crash. :(

The conditions of the three other riders involved in the incident were not immediately available, but they are not believed to be seriously injured, according to MotoAmerica Director of Communications P
