MotoGP » Moto2: Poncharal unhappy at Tech 3 rider errors

Poncharal puts it bluntly. I understand his desire to win and be competitive, but riders are already under enormous pressure to perform without their boss reminding them of their screw ups. Especially when he does it through the media. Still, it's his team and he can do what he wants. Personally, I think it's best to keep the dissapointment to yourself or express it privately. But that's just me...

MotoGP » Stoner apologises for Qatar crash

Y'know, while Stoner, Lorenzo, & Pedrosa are considered Aliens... Rossi is the only true alien. It's impossible to ride the limits these guys do without crashing eventually. It's too demanding. While great riders can push to that limit for a considerable period of time, eventually they'll all make a mistake. Afterall, they're only human. It's a testament to how good Rossi is... these three guys have to push beyond all imaginable limits just to have a chance at beating him.

MotoGP » Aoyama blasts testing rules that penalise rookies

@RawDawg If you read between the lines last year, it was obvious Tech 3 skipped the final day at Malaysia to save money. The whole thing came up again this season when they opted to skip Ben's "rookie test" and Poncheral has always been very vocal about wasting money. Another thing I just thought of... Yuki Takahashi was replaced early last season for Talmasci simply because he brought money to THIS VERY SAME team. Aoyama should consider this, as I'm sure less testing means more money for the team and less chance of history repeating itself at "his expense".

MotoGP » Aoyama blasts testing rules that penalise rookies

Of course less testing time is going to hurt the rookies. Was that ever in doubt? It's an unfortunate down side to the current economic climate. I'm not saying I like it anymore than Aoyama---though I can hardly relate--but if less testing means more funds to keep the team running the whole season... well, it’s no brainer. One upside to the new testing regulations is it also lessens the gap between factory and satellite teams. You see, even with more tests there's no guarantee a satellite team would have the money to participate anyway. We know the factories would. So, in theory, more testing dates could result in just the factories testing while satellite teams sit at home waiting for April 11th.
