McLarens last rubbish car was coincidentaly during Whitmarsh first season in charge. They scored the equivalent of 46 points during the same four fly-away races (using current points system), Hamilton managed a best of P4 in Bahrain, Heikki managed P5 in China. The updates in Spain yeilded P9 in Spain for Hamilton. The team built a new car for Hungary however they wont have that luxery this season, the drivers (particularly JB) will need to knuckle down and haul the team forward. The team are lined up pretty close to Nico Hulkenberg in an even less competitive Sauber, he is cheaper than both McLaren drivers at the moment.
