I wouldn't have had that last lap anyother way, at the time I hated it and could barely look but when the commentors started saying something along the line of 'Is that Glock, is that Glock? Oh my gooodness it's Glock, Hamilton is back in position. He comes through and if I'm right he's got 5th place which is all he needs to...' 'Yes!' I was SO happy!:D Has to be THE most dramatic championship deciding race ever! :)

Andrew-'To an extent Kobyashi has proven himself and shown that he has the speed and talent to be a front running driver in F1 albiet at 2 races only. Hammy hadn't even done that.' So coming 3rd and 2nd in your first 2 races isn't prooving yourself? I agree that Kamui has proven himself more than worthy of a good F1 seat but come on!!! :)

Andrew- 'Don't see me getting bent out of shape do you?' Err, yea actually, everytime someone says something positive about Hamilton you have to make something up that turns it negative, if anyone critises Schumi, you don't let it go until you've had the last word. And why are the haters allowed their opinions which are based on pure hate, but the supporters can't say anything positive?

observer-'A look at Lewis Hamiltons overall career shows that he has peaked and is on the downward side of the bell curve' As Rob and I have pointed out around a million times now, Hamilton scored more points than ANYONE in the 2nd half of this season. If that's a downward spiral, then everybody else in F1 must be crap!!! And the other thing that you're saying with that idiotic statement is that as soon as a driver goes down positions in the championship from one year to the next they have peaked. So that means Raikkonen, Kovailinen, Kubica, Heidfeld, Alonso and Massa have all peaked. hmmmm...

Richard-Fair comment but you say that asthough it's something that goes against Hamilton.:?He secured 3rd place in the CC and 5th in the WDC which was more than anyone would have believed in Feb in Barcelona, or even Silverstone in June (?). There is no way that, with the dominance of the Brawns and Red Bulls, a better result was possible, so in my opinion neither Fernando or Kimi could've boosted those results. When Alonso got his 2 wins and more points than anybodyelse in the 2nd half of last season, in what was at the beginning of the season a far below par car, everyone (including me) thought that he was brilliant for doing so. Why does that change when Hamilton did the same thing?:?

Alan D-'But will people then turn against him because he has been "parachuted into the best car"?' Definatly!:p At this moment I don't mind which gets the 2nd seat, I think that all 3 could bring something to the team. Raikkonen-Simply a brilliantly fast driver, paired with Lewis they would be unbeatable (imo). But does he lack motivation? Heidfeld-Quick, solid, consistent driver who would make a superb no.2 at McLaren, unlike Kovalainen I reckon he would be a good match for Lewis, would beable to go for the wins and always be there or there abouts. But has he already had long enough to prove himself? Kobyashi-Young,motivated,quick,aggressive,focused. But too big a risk? :? :)

Obviously the mechanics were the ones to develop the car, all credit to them, they did a phenomenal job. But Hamilton was the one who drove it, often above where it perhaps should have been (Singapore) and he managed to get those great results that very few thought possible. The fact that he never gave up on this year is a real credit to him, it will carry him threw his entire career. The beginning of this year will be the worst he ever experiences, he got threw it so it can only get easier. Also anyone who says that he's going to be a also-ran next year needs to look at the points from the 2nd half of the season-Lewis got more than ANYBODY! :) Had to comment on this thread, hehe :p

Very awkward-surely they would have had atleast an inkling when signing Kubica that they might not be there (IF it's true)-I mean the contract can't have been signed that long ago. Ah well, have to wait and see, I have a feeling that we are not going to know who's driving for who or even which teams are racing until 12th March when they arrive in Bahrain! lol, my birthday so thought it'd be a good time to change it, and the smilies? NOT delibrate, haha :D Anyway, bed, night everyone!!! :)

Yep! McLaren must have decided on a 2nd driver by now, Rosberg to Brawn, Ferrari full, Reb Bull full, Toyota gone, BMW gone...new team it is (if Renault leaving is the case of course). I reckon that Heidfeld would go to Sauber given half a chance, perhaps Kubica would take that path too? :)

I suppose it was always going to happen, this year was the make or break year for them and if they didn't get the win or consistant decent results they were out unfortunatly. If I win the euromillions on Friday, I'll buy the team and give Kobyashi a drive though :)
