In their proper order what was/is and always will be feared is money, power, dominance loss, ticket sales was never a concern of MM or BE, money wise. And it looked like they were being corrupt, I for one do not have any doubt that they are. Why some diffusers were allowed and some not? They already said that the allowed diffusers were legal because of a loophole in the rules, what they did not say how useful that loophole was for them in reaching their goal. You are wasting your time looking for subtle differences in desgn.

And we poor sods go out of aware way debating the diffuser bait/subject or sword that sliced the teams into two groups like there is no tomorrow.

We me included tends to say it’s the FIA, but no it’s in the name of the FIA. The maneuvering/twisting/bending/stretching of rules/decisions/interpretations goes beyond believe all this has been mostly done by the two halves cancer of F1 of course they are helped by a handful of selected advisers and any team which happen to be on thier side at the time, the principle was always one and the same, DIVIDE AND RULE.

Johnson agreed with all you said just for one line were you said , by 2011 they will no longer have the veto rights and Mercedes can supply whomever they wish. As long as FIA/FOTA/FOM do not change the consensuses way for some things to go through Mclaren’s veto power will still be there, if nothing in 2011 when their love affair will officially be over they will feel more free to veto Mercedes.

When MM tried to force the two tier system on f1 Patrick head came out defending the 20 K PLUS rpm of the Cosworth engine and I am sure he would have been the first to put a dawn payment that’s for two reasons, first he would grab that advantage with both hands and secondly he would have pleased MM some, but when FOTA said no to MM’S two tier system Williams turned to Mercedes but Mclaren said no and I understand that Mclaren are even saying no to the Bull, the love between Mclaren and Mercedes have dead.

Head and his William’s team should be carful of not meeting the wishes of the FIA/MM as BE once said that MM is the most dangerous when he is on his knees.

KERS, FOTA teams and Williams, Patrick Head believes FOTA is making a mistake by dropping KERS next season. Williams were the only team that voted for the retention of KERS when the technical working group meet at SPA, he said , but I understand that we are now back into FOTA so we have to look agreements or responsibilities we have as a result of that. May be Head is calculating that MM will be gone by then and then there will not be any obligations left to follow.

I for one will miss the excitement and intrigue of refueling during the race. As for KERS the trouble was as always with mostly anything to do with the FIA lately it being ill conceived and with ulterior motives with sweeteners of going green and so on that is apart from being forced on the teams, it ended up by giving an advantage to its users and a false picture to some as to race results and positions finished at in a race and how good a car is, and before anybody says that all could have used it I don’t think the manufacturers were willing to supply it at least in the beginning. As a technical thing it’s a beautiful thing to develop but then why kill the engine development and the horsepower race to save money?

Brundle a sports personality in the UK with a lot of praise heaped on him from a certain F1 base fans has said something which is not on par to their line of thinking, witness some of the posts.
