MotoGP » Jerez MotoGP test times - Friday (Final)

Md Zane Re RSV4 - if you mean me I have no idea. The RSV4 is not a MotoGP bike homologated for the road. A MotoGP bike is a very speciifc prototype beast and the RSV4 isn't that. What it is, is a very cleverly designed roadbike with everything designed to make it go like stink. It's tiny compared to other SBK's but it's not a proto. Aprilia probably could build a good MotoGP bike, especially with D'Aligna in charge (Witenveen oversaw the Cube debacle) but Piaggio wouldn't allow them to spends the zillions of Euro's required.

MotoGP » Aprilia ART: Technical Specifications

I've said before that this will be a 2 class race and should be identified as such to create interest from Joe Public. If you were to put Lorenzo on the very best CRT bike he could not win. As for the team's taking steps to challenge the proto's - first they don't have the cash or technology access and second the big boys will just up their game. Aprilia have the best chance of techno advantage but they don't have the cash. The ART is basically Superbike + and there can't be too much more to come.

MotoGP » Which route should CRT take in MotoGP?

They need to run the CRT as a separate race. If the sponsors don't get TV time, they'll go away simple as. The TV director needs to be prepped to expose both classes within the race. IMO there is NO other way this will work. Can you imagine Moody/Rider trying to explain to uninformed viewers why a CRT bike has crossed the line several minutes behind the winner and that's OK?

MotoGP » Why the MotoGP weight limit changed

Why keep going on about his weight? He ISN'T the lightest rider out there - check it out!! They used to use that as a reason for Casey's frequent highest top speed, but that was because he was so damned quick out of the turn precending the speed trap!! GEDIT? No amount of ranting about weights etc will change the fact that Casey is now on the best bit of kit and Vale will have to live with that.
