RECOMMENDED COMMENT
29 agree.
12 disagree.
Let me get this straight. A man paints his face black and points at a steering wheel and this is viewed as a HEINOUS act? Seriously? Have we become maybe just a bit too sensitive?
Has the man called for violence against any of the racers? Has the crowd called for violence? Not as far as I am aware.
Suppose a fan shaves his head and makes fun of Rubens Barichello's baldness. Would that be HEINOUS too? Or would that just be one fan with bad taste? What if someone put on a big nose and made fun of Kubica?
Is it only skin color that we must pretend not to notice?
This is surreal.
Please, no personal attacks. I just don't understand the reaction here.

Bortolotti to replace Badoer at Ferrari for Monza?
1 agrees.
Getting back to the point - setting a record for a laptime on a single track does not make a champion. Drivers need to win races. and Signor Olive Oil is currently 6th in the points chase for his series, which is job #1 for him. 6th ! In F1 WDC this year Lewis Hamilton is 6th, based on these race results: DQ, 7th, 6th, 4th, 9th, 12th, 13th, 16th, 18th, 1st, 2nd Without his recent resurgence, he would be 13th in the standings. This is not a dig on Hamilton. Only to put into perspective the job Bortolotti is doing this year in his series. Don't hand him the wheel of a Ferrari F1 car just yet.

Button vows to 'get his ar*e together' with no team orders
@piercarlogassolini Button has had his day? What made it change so quickly? HE was superior to Rubens in every race, in the same car (or better?). Now he struggles to finish in the points.

Toyota expects flat-out Eau Rouge.
2 disagree.
Despite (or because of?) the high speeds, Spa is a notoriously difficult track for overtaking.

Bortolotti to replace Badoer at Ferrari for Monza?
2 agree.
Does anyone need reminding? Monza, like Valencia, is a notoriously difficult track for overtaking. (I'm just going to keep saying that, regardless of which circuit we're talking about, because it seems to be the aphorism that applies to any track these days)

Hockenheim out for 2010, Argentina in for 2011?
Ah, I beg to differ. Hockenheim has always been a notoriously difficult track for overtaking.

Belgian Grand Prix - Circuit preview
That's a lot of fpf ! The one thing the track overview didn't state - Spa is a notoriously difficult track for overtaking.

Jenson Button: Where has it all gone so wrong?
6 agree.
#2. You don't see the quality of the driver in a single season. The so called "true greats" show skill, and then attract great cars. Then they need to demonstrate some boldness or dramatic character, in order to be called truly great, regardless of the victory count. And I guess so far Button hasn't done that. He has been mostly overlooked, mostly a mid-field finisher, for a long career.

Jenson Button: Where has it all gone so wrong?
1 agrees.
I was going to join the fun complaining about people's spelling and punctuation, but decided to save that for another day. I've got two things for you. #1. "Lets be fair, Button had a difficult start as he was boxed in which had a knock on effect for the rest of the race on a track which is notoriously difficult to overtake on." And exactly which track in F1 is not "notoriously difficult to overtake on"? I am not disagreeing with the comment, only lamenting the fact that quali and the first 1.8 seconds of the race are so important to the outcome. This has all beens aid before. A novel idea: reducing speeds may actually produce better competition, better racing.

Ferrari admit Badoer likely to stay for Spa
6 agree.
1 disagrees.
With 4 speeding citations, a lane violation, as well as having pulled over IN THE PIT LANE to let someone pass during the race, Badoer is just plain dangerous. If I were a F1 pilot I would not want to be in the race with this guy. Slow is one thing. Swerving and surprising people at speed - that is something else. If he races like this at Spa, Ferrari may get a much more unpleasant surprise - another crash of one of their cars, maybe a crewman or driver killed. Driving F1 is not for hobbyists.

Button vows to 'get his ar*e together' with no team orders
It was a masterful drive by Rubens. He had a good car, but more importantly he drove well, he managed the race well, he had good timing. It was not one of those, "race away from the start" things. He had to work for it. Can't wait to see what happens the rest of the season ...
