Let me get this straight. A man paints his face black and points at a steering wheel and this is viewed as a HEINOUS act? Seriously? Have we become maybe just a bit too sensitive?
Has the man called for violence against any of the racers? Has the crowd called for violence? Not as far as I am aware.
Suppose a fan shaves his head and makes fun of Rubens Barichello's baldness. Would that be HEINOUS too? Or would that just be one fan with bad taste? What if someone put on a big nose and made fun of Kubica?
Is it only skin color that we must pretend not to notice?
This is surreal.
Please, no personal attacks. I just don't understand the reaction here.

Historic Spa pole for Fisichella and Force India
1 agrees.
No way I see Heidfeld taking 1st. He will battle Fisi, Kubica, and Glock in the mid stages and finally take 4th. Hamilton will fight through the field and rain to take 5th, with Fisi and Kubica following. Glock 8th. Vettel will finish 9th after a frustrating day. RBR: no points. Webber will get in an incident with Rosberg at turn one, and one of the two will retire early. The other will be 10th. Alonso 11th. Sutil 12th. Button will make no improvements except through retirements ahead of him. He'll finish 13th. Kovi 14th. Buemi and Algy will collide on lap 1, both retire. Badoer will crash heavily. How close will I be?

I'm staying with Jarno on the podium, though not as a winner. He has the guts to run fast on the circuit, but Kimi is too good to be beat. If Trulli doesn't make the podium it will because of he and his team misjudging the rain and timing of tire changes.

Podium prediction:: Kimi, Trulli, Barichello Trulli will run well at Spa. A good fuel load and large b4lls will do him well on this high speed track. He will pass Fisichella, if not on the track in the early going then at the first round of stops. Kimi will make up 2 spots at the start, and will also pass Fisichella on stop#1. By the time the rain starts (guessing midway through 2nd stint) Raikonnen will be all over Trulli who will yield P1. With a good start Rubens will pass Heidfeld before turn 1. He'll also make up time as the rain comes, with good judgment and timing on tires. He's got the guts to run hard when the track is half-wet, as it always is at Spa.

Raikkonen third - and set to be major player?
1 agrees.
1 disagrees.
I don't believe the conspiracy theories. This is a man who won the wDC for Ferrari the year prior. Why would the team and organization give him a giant contract and then ignore him? It makes no sense. If Kimi, a proven winner and champion, was given an inferior car, there are a bunch of teams that would havev taken him in an instant. Why would he stay, if he were really being treated this way?

I don't think Ferrari were ignoring Kimi last year. Was he not reigning WDC? $51m annual salary? What you suggest is unimaginable. For $51m, the personal stuff must be left at the door when you walk in to work. Kimi set something like 9 or 10 fastest laps in the races last year, yet didn't contend for WDC. He was outshone by Massa, clearly. Kimi is an excellent driver, but hasn't been getting it done. I would be surprised to see him move to McLaren next year. He talks as if he is halfway out of F1 already. Or am I imagining things?

Toyota pair impress in mixed conditions
It's too bad, I would like to see better competition. I had hopes earlier in the season, didn't Trulli finish on the podium in Australia? Or was that because of the DQ of Hamilton. Can't remember now. Anyway I had hoped they would challenge for podiums, along with BMW. I was looking forward to a season with McLaren and Ferrari fighting off Toyota and BMW. Instead we have RBR and Brawn, both seeing who can implode first! If the season were 24 races long, Hamilton would win it.

Belgian GP practice quotes: Ferrari
For Ferrari, this has been a dismal season. At this point, who cares whether they replace Badoer? Kimi is on his way out. Massa is injured. The car didn't actually show up until half the season was over.

Webber leads Red Bull charge in practice
The need to conserve engines is a shame, but necessary to keep the costs down. The ban on testing is the same thing. I would have loved to see Badoer be more competitive, but he wasn't permitted to lap. For Vettel's part, he blew up 2 engines last week, no? What is causing all the engine wear for him? Would love to see RBR atop the podium on Sunday.

Toyota expects flat-out Eau Rouge.
ex F1 Fan wrote: Week in,week out we hear "this track is difficult to overtake on" Where pray tell,IS it easy to overtake? Totally true. Moto GP definitely has more passing, but it is not simply a matter of F1 adjusting the rules to be more like Moto GP. The dynamics are different, and I don't mean that metaphorically. The ratio of track width to vehicle width is much higher with bike racing. Replicate that for F1 cars and you would see more passing, more options in racing lines.
