MotoGP » Toseland black flag for missing 'harsh' penalty.

MOTOGP mole has it on firm authority that Ben Spies has just signed a two-year deal with Yamaha that will see him stay in the WSB Championship for 2010 and then make his move to MotoGP in 2011. But, according to the reports, it appears that there is a clause in the contract which says that if Spies wins the WSB title this year, or if Jorge Lorenzo leaves Yamaha for the much rumoured HRC offer that is meant to be on the table, then the 24-year-old will make the jump to the Premier class next year instead.

@Mark C Great Point Man, and to be honest I see maybe 4, Simoncelli, Bautista, Barbera, Kalio. Maybe (and this is a long shot) Sete. I suggest Sete and Kalio because they are riding the dreaded Ducati, and everyone but CS has been muted on that bike. Sete has proven he can win, but has been unable to prove he can win again. I don't think Spies will do all that well. We don't see superbike riders doing well in MotoGP, although only a select few have had decent rides. If Spies got a factory bike other then Suzuki, and Ducati then he could do well. Oh, and I just turned 33

@Mal As for the "bashing" of JT as you call it, I have never bashed, let alone commented AFAIK on Stoner. I am a Stoner, Edwards, Agostini, Capirossi fan. I like Hayden as well, but I don't get giddy or anything if I see him. "As an Aussie I will always support my fellow countrymen" Yes, this is called Bias. "True fans in my opinion will always stick by their countrymen through thick and thin" No one from my country is in MotoGP anymore. "and don't jump on the bandwagon on whoever is winning" I am most definitely not a Valentino Rossi fan, nor a Lorenzo or Pedrosa fan by any means. "It's good to see some loyality" LOL Good Luck JT in your next racing series!

@pinatatimeagain Here is my problem with that you said. Hayden is on a bike that has been proven difficult to ride. Unless your initials are CS you arnt going to get on with that bike. Just look at the history, Marco Meldri who is a 2 time runner up to the Championship was horrendous on the bike, on the Hayate which is undeveloped and he equaled his points haul of all of last season in half of this season. As for Colin Edwards, I think Yammi keeps him around for a specific reason. He IS the best Sat rider, He is continually the best non factory performer in every race (almost), and he spanks his teammate on the regular. I am sorry but I cant agree with you on any of what you said.

@JT2 "Surprise of 2009 - de puniet." I completely agree, and the bike he is riding isn't the best by any means. I remember a few years ago when the Sat honda riders were challenging for wins. Sete was fast, Marco was runner up in the championship, what 2 times in a row? Now if you arn't on a factory bike you are left in the dust. I am really happy for him. Perhaps he will end up somewhere good but their are not that many good rides left to take.

@expert "so disco, list who else doesn't deserve to be in MotoGP?" I would really appreciate it if you cats stopped putting words in my mouth, or misquoting me. I at no time said he didn't deserve to be there, I just said he cant cut it. He should go somewhere, where he can cut it before his confidence is ruined permanently and he becomes a back marker for the rest of his life. As for who should go, I have a separate post for that. And I would appreciate some feedback especially from RawDawg.

@The Darkside - nice name btw!! "ok here we go then.... how about next year tossland goes to AMA with the other waste of space Hodgson." DMG/AMA is a horrible series right now, thanks to DMG, who have started running the series this year. Personally I think he should go back to WSBK, he would do fine on a good ride, if the ride is good enough he would start at the sharp end. BSB would/should be too easy for him, if it wasn't his days would be numbered as a competitive racer.

@Juvenial "disco you are exactly the kind of person I am refering too. To call your criticism constructive is very overstated." I never said my criticism was constructive, I don't know where you are getting that from. Also, I don't see how your post applies to me as I am NOT being spiteful. And I don't hate Brits. I'm just calling a spade a spade. I am sorry if I hurt your feelings, and maybe being mediocre is something you cheer on but I don't. I am quite sure you'd love JT to be consistent, score points, podium, and maybe even win, but he doesn't, he isn't, and he wont in MotoGP. That is all I am saying. If you feel I am spiteful, or full of hate, then we have a language barrier.
