F1 fans would forget Robert Kubica long before they forget Ferrari

If Spies is able to nail Misano and get yet another pole, the competition should be very afraid.

Wasn't that the same underpowered machine that Vermuelen had more poles, podiums, and a win on in 2007?

motogpmatters has a blurb this morning that Hypekins' manager is asking around at Tech 3 Yamaha for a ride next year. If that happens, considering all the talented riders that could have CE or JT ride next season, you will know MotoGP is all about connections and money and nothing else.

Just testing, don't get too excited until he does it in qualifying or a race. But I agree he might replace Hayden on the factory team, maybe even before the end of the year.

Dovizioso needs more experience before he threatens for a win. Currently he is not at the level of Rossi, Stoner, Lorenzo, or his teammate Pedrosa. But he is still better than most of the rest of the field. He is definitely in the next tier of riders behind the "contender four" Right now is is a good #2 rider on the Repsol team. He has the potential to be a championship contender, but it isn't this year. To be passed on the last lap by your teammate one race, then fail to pass a guy near collapse today, maybe he needs to get a little more aggressive.

I'm fairly certain that Lorenzo and Rossi would get the changes they want, while Edwards & JT would just be there to burn through fuel and tires. Why waste the expense if Yamaha wouldn't listen to you anyway. And if Tech3 already knew that they wouldn't be keeping either rider for next year, why bother working on anything for the future with those two riders as well.

CAn anyone tell why they have chosen to limit the field to 26 cars? Is it a matter of garage space that keeps 2 or 3 other teams from also joining?

I hope NH improves, the paddock needs more riders with the class that Hayden has displayed over the years. But if I were Ducati and only had resources to either improve Stoner's bike to the detriment of the other riders, or make changes that help the rest, you would have to go with focusing on Stoner. A championship is the goal, not all the other riders improving three places on average.

No fan of Pedrosa but respect his talent and toughness. His ability to ride competitively at less than 100% makes you wonder how good he would be if he could ever get and remain healthy for a season.
