BTCC » Collard, Neal in war of words after incident

This is getting monotonous. Matt Neal comes up behind a car. The driver doesn't pull over and let him past so he gets punted off. This time Matt breaks his own car so tries to blame the other driver. OK I can see his point. History shows us Matt has a divine right to win by any means neccessary and go unpunished. Wouldn't be surprised to see Rob penalised for ruining Matt's race. In the second race he even overtook Plato by cutting the chicane. Plato, to his credit, admitted he had overcooked it into the chicane so slid wide into him but I'm not convinced Matt would have made it anyway. This kind of driving is costing the independents too much while he has Honda's money to fall back on.

F1 » Hamilton hits out at McLaren after 'one of the drives of my life'

Was i the only one to see the pathetic ovation that the mc laren box gave Vettel when he crashed? Bunch of scumbags. That s their sense of sportmanship. Not surprising though What would you expect? Vettel spinning out meant that their driver was now leading the race. At the time they wouldn't have known why he was in the gravel just that he was safe and no longer in front of their team. To be honest I punched the air myself.

F1 » Kubica: McLaren cocked-up with Hamilton!

Can see what the team were thinking. Both Ferrarris were sliding around on their old tyres so it seemed likely that they would pit. Bringing Lewis in and putting him on new rubber would appear to be a good call. Lewis caught Alonso and Massa again after pitting so when they pitted he would have been in an ideal position to chase down Kubica and pass on new slicks. Only problem was they didn't pit.

F1 » Mixed emotions at Lotus

Well said "the yank". A very successful opening race. You never know, once the data is in, they may yet emulate their illustrious namesakes. I would be much happier with LOTUS on my chest than advertising a medical condition. At least they didn't show what LOTUS stands for- Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious.

F1 » Button: I took it too easy early on

This seems to prove Jenson won the title because he had a car that was vastly superior to everyone else on those tracks. As soon as he had to adapt to a track that didn't lend itself to his driving style and car he struggled. Lewis is able to wring the neck of an underperforming car and still get results it appears. Do hope I'm wrong about Button and he goes on to fight for wins but not on today's showing. I think everyone was being exta cautious today as they weren't sure how the cars would react to the temperature and weight. If not we are in for a very boring 19 races.

F1 » Alonso wins Bahrain GP

Refueling isn't going to bring back the overtaking unless teams are allowed to choose which tyres to use and when. Having to start on the same tyres and setting you qualified on is bound to handicap every driver and team. Give the teams more choice and they can alter stratergy to give their driver more grip or longer lasting tyres. OR Bridgestone must supply tyres that wont last the race so the drivers will run out of grip. OR Insist that the cars aero packages must leave a smooth airflow behind them to allow the driver behind to get closer without losing downfroce. I think that as the season progresses all the drivers will know their limits better and be braver.
