When Schumacher came back after his crash in 99 he was straight back on the pace. The same can be said for Barrichello after Imola 94 and Hakinnen after his crash in Adelaid in 95. I'm sure Massa will be straight back on the pace.

I went over the rail bridge earlier in the year and the painting wsa still going on. I think it is a case of as soon as they get to one end they have to start again. The rail bridge really is an amazing feat of Victorian engineering.

The camera must have been zoomed in a bit as the stretch between the pairs of towers is longer than the other 2 stretches. You get a good sense of the proportions of the bridge from an ariel photo.

Love F1 - there are 2 pairs of towers at either end of the Forth Road Bridge. That is the southmost pair that you see in the photo. If you want to see a feat of engineering, look at the adjacent rail bridge. A search on a popular web based encyclopedia will reveal more details.

Next year, the FIA will just be a Punch and Judy show run by Mosley. You won't see him, but you still know he is there. Vananten/Todt are just going to be puppets sadly. This is the ideal chance for change as Todt and Vatanen have competitive experience unlike Mosley who is a lawyer. Sadly any changes that Todt or Vatanen will want ot bring in will be stopped by the master puppeteer. Sad really.

richard - I am not pinning the blame for crashgate on anyone as no-one knows what really happened. I am not disagreeing with Coulthard's comments but he has had a few dodgy moments in his career. This is not about being anxious to diagree with anyone (same could be said about you).
